This has never happened before, but a group of 10 are sat on my wall in my front garden. Im supposed to be out but I opened the front door saw them, gave them a frown and went back inside.

Wwyd really?

Most teens are lovely, they do get a bad press. I have two of my own, who are generally rather lovely, but have their moments Grin.

We back onto a park and yesterday evening I noticed a group of teen lads hanging over the gate, calling down the garden. Turns out they had kicked their football over into our hedge. I tried to get it out but I couldn't, so I unlocked the gate and three of them came in. They were so lovely, kept thanking me, apologising for wasting my time, one of them gave another a bollocking for getting into my hedge "what you doing man, you're messing up her garden, I'm so sorry Mrs, get out of her hedge man, be more careful".

At first glance you'd have put them down as up to no good, hoody wearing lads. Don't judge a book and all that.

A group of teenagers gaffer taped one of their group to a lamp post outside our house once. That was hilarious (nothing good on tv that night).
Of course I would have rescued him but one of them came back after 20 mins and set him free.

Schwabischeweihnachtskanne I did only say that they should clear off, not fuck off. If it was just one or two that would be fine. But it was a group of them.

They probably were just thoughtless rather thsn malicious. The wall is falling down with loose bricks here and there and the house is up for sale so I really didn't want the whole thing caving down.

I don't think I would find this annoying (I'd be a bit envious, because I was the sort of teenager who never got asked to join in with such gatherings). But if I did, I'd be inclined to try to embarrass them into moving by coming out into the garden and rather noticeably using it myself - bring a garden chair out and sit having a cup of coffee, do a bit of gardening (as close to the wall as possible), maybe talk to a friend on my mobile, etc. If they're sitting there in a big group they probably want to talk, and if I know teenagers, they're not usually very keen on adults knowing their business.

Isn't it a rite of passage as a teen to be somewhere, being unknowingly annoying, and have a middle-aged person storm out of his/her house, yelling GEOORRRF MY LAWNNE! while rattling a stick in the air?

Or is that just in the North of England?

Actually, the best way to get rid of teens on your wall is to blast classical music from your window. They once tested this in shop doorways and a bus station in South London and found that it was astonishingly successful.

A group of three lads were hanging round at the back of the garage (which is kind off diagonally opposite my front door....tis a weird set up). I pottered out into my front garden and one of the went 'argh!' and ran off. Didn't have to say a word....apparently my face can tell teenagers to fuck off without bothering my vocal chords.

If anyone of you are having problems pm me and i can send a photo to scare them with.
