reading all the comments on MN regarding the EU decision. Ive never seen so much sour grapes, scaremongering and garbage spouted in my whole life, nearly every topic has to do with something about it. People who are stating their reason as to which way they voted and why, are being ridiculed, bad mouthed, and called names. I am absolutely disgusted with some of the comments i have seen. Thought mumsnet was full of people who could debate and give advice cordially, it appears i was wrong. We all need to get together in this and make the best of whats going to happen instead of causing unrest....WE WILL BE OKAY!

Actually some people won't be ok. Some people will lose their jobs. wonder if they were worried when people where having their disabled benefits cuts, didn't heard many people complaining then.
The conservative gov did a great job at divide and rule

ErNope · 26/06/2016 12:13

Am i one of those pesky scaremongerers? Jeez.
I'd call it sharing my very shit post brexit experience but there we go.
Thanks for your sympathies kaytee 💕💕💕

ErNope · 26/06/2016 12:18

Griphook I actually petitioned along with many others others to prevent the tax credit cuts, written to my MP at the time and wrote again to complain about the unfair sanctions imposed on those on JSA in particular. I've worked as a volunteer for the local food bank also,
I care very deeply about the poor , unemployed and vulnerable in society. I also wouldn't be seen dead voting for the tories...'Fat lot of good it's done me as I'm now in the same position but hey ho. Don't tar us all with the same brush thanks.

grimbletart · 26/06/2016 12:26

I've seen the best of MN when people are in trouble and seek advice.

Now, Remain or Leave, with all these threads I've seen the worst of MN.

Griphook · 26/06/2016 12:27

ErNope fair point

PrimalLass · 26/06/2016 12:33

wonder if they were worried when people where having their disabled benefits cuts, didn't heard

That's staggeringly disingenuous as lots of people on here complained bitterly about that.

exLtEveDallas · 26/06/2016 12:33

Yes. It was fucked. It's now going to be bum fucked by rich boys with a penchant for gimp masks and and cocaine and plenty of money to keep them and their pals safe

Best. Commentary. Ever.

PerpendicularVincent · 26/06/2016 12:33

I'm really sorry to hear that you're losing your job, ErNope.

People don't think things through. I was reading in the news today that someone in Oldham voted to leave because they'd had problems with their Romanian neighbours. It's just one person, but I'm so angry that this decision has far reaching, difficult consequences for so many people. Yet in many cases, the decision to vote leave was made based on no facts whatsoever.

Fucking shitty Brexit

Buzzardbird · 26/06/2016 12:34

Telling people to not 'go on about their frightening fututes' is tantamount to going around at a funeral telling everyone to "cheer up".

Buzzardbird · 26/06/2016 12:35

Also, MN was full of posters complaining about the disability cuts. We are not all in the "well, I'm alright Jack" club.

KayTee87 · 26/06/2016 12:36

Yes griphook I'm very concerned about disability payments being cut considering that I have 2 disabled relatives - one of them who will be cared for full time by us in the future.

Floisme · 26/06/2016 13:17

Sour grapes? fed up? What a bizarre way of putting things. It sounds like you equate this with England getting knocked out the Euros.

I don't know how you can have the slightest idea whether it will be ok or not, op. It's becoming increasingly apparent that no-one - not even on the leave side - has a scooby. The only thing we can be certain of is that economies do not like uncertainty.

But I'm glad if you're ok and I'm sorry if good old fashioned Anglo Saxon language upsets you.

Lemonlady22 · 05/08/2016 16:13

has anything happened yet.....
