No they didn't.

38ish% did.

That's 38%. This seismic change has been triggered by 38% of the population.

There it goes again. 'Reasons that are dubious'!
IN YOUR OPINION reasons that are dubious which is why I am pleased I do not have to justify my vote to you. I actually only need to justify my vote to me. And I am okay with it.

the vast majority are unhappy

It cannot be considered a vast majority by any stretch of the best imagination

"publically disassociate yourself from those reasons"

On an anonymous Internet forum? I don't care what angry obsessives who spend their time posting righteous drivel on the Internet think of my reasons.

Seismic is really gaining traction.

I voted Brexit because I think the benefits of the single market are outweighed by the substantial costs, that the EU has outgrown itself, its day is over, and that the UK can and should negotiate its own trade agreements.

And honestly OP I find your posts more self-aggrandising every day.

There have been people publicly giving reasons for voting to leave which are obviously dubious. Not my opinion- unless you think that voting Leave because Cameron's a toff is a non dubious reason! Or because the local council closed the public loos.

Good Lord. I have been accused of many things in my time, but no self aggrandising!

Of no matter - what ever you think. There may be remain voters who have voted because they 'don't like change' it matters not.
I still thank goodness we can vote anonymously, with out justifying any reason

I've posted about this on another thread already.

DH met up with some friends last night.
One of them admitted that he had wanted us to remain in the EU, had expected the vote to be a Remain victory - but had voted Leave because he doesn't like the government and wanted to stick two fingers up at them. He didn't think his leave vote would matter.
I don't think that's a dubious reason to vote Leave. I think that's a completely fucking stupid reason to vote Leave.

I don't agree leaving is a good choice, but I'm sure that some people who voted Leave had carefully considered the available information and genuinely believe it's for the best and that it'll all work in our favour eventually.

But some people who voted Leave - DH's friend being a prime example here - have definitely done so for dubious or downright idiotic reasons.

And so will have folk that voted to remain....

That is indeed a stupid reason to vote Leave Mrs. A referendum isn't the right place to make protest or tactical votes and if he didn't realise that then he was a fool. I'm sure he wasn't the only one, but unless there were 1,300,000 as daft as him, I doubt it made much difference in the end.
