When will the whole filthy, rotten, depraved house of cards finally be disassembled and exposed for what it really is?

"Now they were under the same roof, Miss Woosley said Sir Clement’s behaviour escalated and he began sexually touching her in front of his wife"

A quote from the Daily Mail but still would imply knowledge.

Umm the rumours have been around sometime - my reaction wasn't shock more sadness, and I'd be surprised if she hadn't heard them - and had plenty of time to think about them before now.
The in bed revelation is more worrying - my children have only joined me in bed after about the age of 8 when they have been very ill. I did find it odd when I heard of parents at school who would have children on sleepovers join them in bed in the mornings. (And now feel vaguely concerned - although it was never any of my children in that group.)

But due to certain posts up thread - I expect this will be deleted.

*Why is the McCann thing even relevant? hmm

I assumed it was a weird joke, but who knows. I really hope it was a joke because otherwise words fail me.*

The police are investigated a possible link. He had a villa in the same resort at the time of her disappearance and reached out to the McCann's.

Clement Freud Linked to Madeleine McCann

When I was a young boy, very occasionally if my parents went out for the night, I'd spend the night with a neighbour. I would have been between the ages of 5 and 9. She would have been at that time around 50. She was a lovely, lovely woman whom everyone adored, regular Churchgoer. Her husband was equally lovely and had dropped dead when I was 4 and one of my earliest memories is the ambulance arriving and saying to my mum "where are they taking him?"

On those occasions when I stayed over, I slept in the same bed as this woman. My parents knew this. There was no other bed in the house. This woman never, ever touched me. Ever. She was one of the most fabulous people I've ever met and had an awful lot to do with my upbringing and was like a surrogate grandmother.

I dare say something like that would never happen today. But I just wanted to say it because people are all to eager to put 2 and 2 together and do "there's no smoke without fire" and we're seeing it now with Lady Freud. It's unfair without more being known and, more importantly, substantiated or proved.

As for Twitter going mad demanding police investigate Sir Clement having probably raped and killed Maddie McCann, that's one helluva jump.

That's actually happening? Wow. What is it about MM that makes people so deranged?

NeverbuytheDailyMail · 15/06/2016 13:11

It's bizarre isn't it. From what I have read (which is admittedly limited) he is not necessarily a suspect in her disappearance - given that his son says he was in the UK at the time and he was in his 80's!

StillDrSethHazlittMD · 15/06/2016 13:17

NeverBuy Quite. At the time of her disappearance he was in the UK. He was in Portugal two months later and invited the McCanns round then (and Kate goes into it in detail in her book) and appears to have been very supportive. Not quite sure what the ulterior motive would have been there, but there you go.

MrsJayy · 15/06/2016 13:31

It is bizarre why would he a child abuser offer to support to them and why would they go for dinner with him

user1464519881 · 15/06/2016 14:29

I don't think he's one of those life long child abuses into sex with children. I suspect a couple of times 50 years ago he assaulted these two young girls whch is very very very bad and even back then when I was little was very bad (our parents would always try to ensure we were never with any dodgy characters alone as these men have always been with us). Now there are other men who every week of their life are after children.

On the inviting the McCanns to his villa near by probably just being friendly. There are lots of men around who are serial gropers and the ilke and yes that's appalling but that doesn't mean they dont' have normal friends, invite people over, have dinner, lead otherwise good lives. None of us are either perfect or 100% evil.
