to think it might look ridiculous, but want it anyway?

Maybe more of a WWYD....

DH and I are in the market for some new windows. We're ridiculously excited by this as we've had single glazed windows since we've moved in. We live in a 1970/80s semi and both neighbours have brown windows and a brown door. DH is desperate for our house to match theirs and thinks it would look 'smart' if we were in keeping with the neighbours.

I, however, would really love to have a sage green door, which I think will only work with white windows. I'm a bit worried that it's too trendy and 'cottagey' for our house. I'm potentially happy to settle for a grey door (have attached images of both the grey and green) but worry whether either option would affect re-sale value (not sure if this is our 'forever home')

AIBU to push for what i want or should I just accept that on this for once DH may be right?

I would go with white frames and the grey, very stylish!

The middle or the last picture are lovely!

I would replace the brown if I bought your house. It's very old fashioned and makes it darker/seem smaller. I'd rather a lighter colour. Better for resale value. It'd also stand out from your neighbours.

May I please ask what you decided? I am wanting a new door and don’t know what colour to choose. My windows are light oak and I’m not looking to change them or the colour anytime soon. Thanks.
