To think three is the proper amount of biscuits to have?

Dh has just taken the biscuit tin away from me as I reached for a third. He says two biscuits is the normal quota and three would be greedy. I say three biscuits minimum is the correct amount to have with your coffee.

I'm right, aren't I? AIBU?

2 biscuits is enough unless you are a teenager who will eat 2 packets and then ask " what's for tea?"

leelu66 · 28/05/2016 18:40

Atta girl! Wink

Sparklesilverglitter · 28/05/2016 18:40

3 is correct

annabelcaramel · 28/05/2016 18:41

Three is correct. One for each hip and one to improve core stability. Well known dietary principle.

MajesticSeaFlapFlap · 28/05/2016 18:41

1 pack = 1portion

irregularegular · 28/05/2016 18:41

I'd never have more than two. And even then I'm thinking I should really only be having one. Sorry.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 28/05/2016 18:43

i was very proud of my restraint in eating only two of the Borders Ginger with plain chocolate the other day, they are gorgeously grown up, very hot ginger, and very serious dark chocolate

ds asked if he could have one, so I blithely said yes, convinced he'd not like them one it.... and the wee wretch ate the bloody remainder after i had decamped to the sitting room and could not see him

he also had the cheek to ask if there were any more

Krampus · 28/05/2016 18:44

Three!!! The sheer gluttony! I only have to smell a biscuit and I'm full up, 2 years ago I managed to eat half one but I was pregnant with quadruplets at the time.

Playduh · 28/05/2016 18:44

I think you need a side plate full of biscuits in front of you and at least one other eater. Then just grab one occasionally until you are full or the plate is empty.

Ideally you need to remain clueless as to how many you actually ate, so obviously more than one.

Simple!

anyoldname76 · 28/05/2016 18:51

three is the right amount, there is even a song about it Grin

Flisspaps · 28/05/2016 18:54

2 or 3

Unless Jaffa Cakes, that's 12 (1 box is a single serving)

DaisyDando · 28/05/2016 18:57

0 is the correct number of Rich Tea. Up to seven (7) for everything else.
I read it in the biscuit etiquette guide which came free with my Teapigs.

emotionsecho · 28/05/2016 19:04

Sorry for the tangent, OP, but how many biscuits did those little individual packs have in them, I think 3 but someone else is saying 4?

Chinks123 · 28/05/2016 19:06

I have only 3 when I'm trying to be good Blush

ALemonyPea · 28/05/2016 19:12

Nope, you're wrong. Biscuits need to be eaten in even numbers.

NinaSimoneful · 28/05/2016 19:13

Mine and DHs favourite biscuits come in a pack of nine. I have four, he has five. Two? Barely worth opening the packet for.

Oakley02 · 28/05/2016 19:13

Heehee - agree with Chinks - three when I am being good, but usually around six on the first sitting.....! 😃

Myusernameismyusername · 28/05/2016 19:16

My DD disagrees as she likes even numbers and says 4 is best

ItsyBitsyBikini · 28/05/2016 19:17

Thanks to this thread; dp has has to go and make us a cup of tea and bring in assortment of biscuits.
3 for anything like bourbons/custard creams/chocolate hobnobs
2 for rich tea/digestives etc
Full packs for the cheesecake ones foxes do.

Claim to biscuit fame. My dad used to work at foxes and we'd get broken biscuits coming home all the time. Best job ever

HyacinthBouquetNo1 · 28/05/2016 19:19

Confession time, other day i had 8 ginger biscuits and 5 choc digestives

runs off in shame

RJnomore1 · 28/05/2016 19:19

Are they Jamie Dodgers? If so you'll need Brew to dip in

mrsvilliers · 28/05/2016 19:21

2 is the correct number over here but I find you do need at least 2 servings Grin

SomethingLike · 28/05/2016 19:22

I think two is socially acceptable but I would want at least three.
