I'm going to do one for me later. I've got some salted caramel that might keep it company.

"A giant cookie exactly like the ones from Millies but not all fucked up with sickly butter cream"

So he got it, cos I can do Millies cookie perfectomondo.

It was crispy and chewy.

Grin

DD is getting a brace 6 days before her birthday. She'll need something chewy but softish. I can eat the crispy. [

HoneyDragon · 25/05/2016 19:02

Erm it was originally a Bbc magazine one I think ...

125g butter, softened
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
225g self-raising flour
½ tsp salt

Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4
Cream butter and sugars, once creamed, combine in the egg and vanilla.
Sift in the flour and salt, (then if using chocolate, the chocolate chips if not skip)
Roll into walnut size balls (whilst trying not to eat all the cookie dough before it goes it the oven, I'm weak, I'm sorry)
Place on ungreased baking paper (at this point if using smarties or sweets then put 4-5 smarties on each cookie, don't worry if it's tight they'll spread). If you want to have the real Millies cookies experience then bake for just 7 minutes, till the cookies are just setting - the cookies will be really doughy and delicious. Otherwise cook for 10 minutes until just golden round the edges.
Take out of the oven and leave to harden for a minute before transferring to a wire cooling rack. Scoff as soon as they won't burn your mouth.
