everyone needs to change their name to something they won't lift - "storyforDM" etc... "thiswillbeonthedailymailtomorrow" "lazy journo" "can'tthinkofastory" "copypastefrommn" etc...

BoboBunnyH0p · 11/05/2016 14:17

I wonder if the bride & groom will out themselves, so they can sell their story it's all about the money to them after all.

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 11/05/2016 14:17

I wonder if in a million years she thought her thread would develop like this. I feel really sorry for her :(

A salutary lesson.

RedToothBrush · 11/05/2016 14:18

Well the OP of the thread did let it slip to an indiscreet friend....

SilverBirchWithout · 11/05/2016 14:20

No wonder trolls love Mumsnet so much.

The Media has officially now eaten itself all up.

Fake story on MN, online media take up the story, printed news take-up the story, radio and TV also report the story, MN fills itself with threads and people discussing the media's coverage of the story.

Will the media now report on the outrage on MN about the story being picked-up by the media?

All this could have been prevented by Stopping the Cheque Grin

margiebargie · 11/05/2016 14:26

MN probably wrote it themselves and then sent out a press release.

margiebargie · 11/05/2016 14:35

Oops

Just put on another thread that it was on my local talk radio which is BBC three counties.

HackerFucker22 · 11/05/2016 16:16

To be fair, I did read the original thread and the OP should have explained the cheque had been cashed to begin with!!!

Hope it was genuine and the B&G have been well and truly shamed although it true the are so brass necked I doubt they'd care

Mcchickenbb41 · 11/05/2016 17:46

I think the same. Anyone who has that much front has no shame. Oh well they say everyone gets their bit off fame lol bet they didn't think it would be like this

Junosmum · 11/05/2016 18:03

And the Huffington post

NeedACleverNN · 11/05/2016 18:07

Well I think it's safe to say the op is famous!

I can't believe how viral it's gone

JustLostTheGame · 11/05/2016 18:14

How likely is it that was a genuine thread? I'm doubtful.

PissOffJournalists · 17/05/2016 12:26

This week's Grazia as well

it's been on my facebook, touted by Country Living Magazine, (the US version) I was amused by all the shocked faces in the little bit under the post!

Even our cousins across the pond are horrified at the Bride's sheer effrontery.

Winterbiscuit · 17/05/2016 12:33

I wonder why that particular thread was picked out? It just seemed like a normal run-of-the-mill thread to me.

herecomethepotatoes · 17/05/2016 12:40

Especially as they have reported in her user name

Try googling the first sentence. It'll tell you her username anyway Hmm
