Blimey, I should imagine the bride must recognise herself as much as the OP does
Muchas cringing all round I should think

WanHeda · 11/05/2016 13:40

Can this not all be kept to one thread? I'm sure there are at least other threads discussing this.

Caffeinator · 11/05/2016 13:41

STV news as well.

OP posts:
MrPony · 11/05/2016 13:42

Where is the original thread? I'm always late to the party!

redshoeblueshoe · 11/05/2016 13:43

I saw it on Sky News

picklypopcorn · 11/05/2016 13:44

Bloody hell it's gone mad!!

sofieellis · 11/05/2016 13:44

This was the basis for the phone in on This Morning today as well.

Why isn't the original thread accepting new posts?

gamerchick · 11/05/2016 13:45

Does that mean mumsnet is going to break again like it did after penisbeaker went viral?

x2boys · 11/05/2016 13:47

And did many people suggest cancelling the cheque on this morning sofieellis? Grin

Doinmummy · 11/05/2016 13:48

They had a phone in about this on our local radio station this morning - all the callers said 'cancel the cheque ' I was in my car screaming ' THE CHEQUE HAD BEEN CANCELLED FFS!'

Ninjagogo · 11/05/2016 13:48

Journalists using mumsnet as a source for stories? That's new Grin think it's time for another name change....

bungmean · 11/05/2016 13:49

sofieellis - It is because it has gone over a thousand posts, which stops further people posting to it.

HazelBite · 11/05/2016 13:49

I hope the bride and groom are very embarrassed.

magicstar1 · 11/05/2016 13:50

On all the Irish radio stations this morning, and a Irish FB pages have it too

PatricianOfAnkhMorpork · 11/05/2016 13:51

sofieellis the original thread is full - we only get 1000 posts per thread.

I nearly fell of the sofa when it was on BBC Breakfast first thing this morning.

Sleepybunny · 11/05/2016 13:53

I think she should just cancel the cheque.

WanHeda · 11/05/2016 13:53

Top 3 posts on mumsnet trending is on this.

ratspeaker · 11/05/2016 13:56

It was mentioned on Radio Forth today as well. ( I was listening in the car between Glasgow and Edinburgh )
Grant Stoott mentioned it was from mumsnet but didn't give usernames.
Not sure what feedback he got from listeners as I'm out of the car now getting lunch.

ImperialBlether · 11/05/2016 14:04

This is one time where I'm hoping the poster is a troll and they're all yelling about nothing at all.

hillbilly · 11/05/2016 14:09

James O'Brien talking about it on LBC this morning.

MitzyLeFrouf · 11/05/2016 14:11

Was that thread legit? It seems so..................fanciful.

UterusUterusGhali · 11/05/2016 14:12

I really, really want to know what the bride has said about this.
Puzzled should never have blocked her. Grin

It's an open forum, you don't need to register to read it. Good to keep that in mind!

AndTakeYourPenguinWithYou · 11/05/2016 14:16

This is ridiculous isn't it? People post here for advice and support, now they're going to wonder if they're safe to do so

If anyone ever thought they were safe from being seen by the whole world it was a very silly asssumption to make! This is the open internet, anyone can read it, tweet it, share it around the world.
Some people seem to think MN is somehow private and a safe space to say anything. Why would you think that?
