To have missed the fact that the spelling of the word 'pyjamas' recently changed?

To 'pajamas'?! Wtf? I know there are some things that people notoriously get wrong, the usual 'chester draws', 'defiantly' (definitely) and even 'rest bite' (respite)! But 'pajamas' seems to be a new one or have I just missed it for years?! I've even seen it on printed mugs etc recently! Aaargh!

And breathe...Grin

P'jar-muhs.

Or jimjams.

Defiantly/definitely is an autocorrect thing I think.

Idliketobeabutterfly · 03/05/2016 00:16

Definitely lol. Defiantly is something entirely different.

Emma been in use in England since the mid c19th according I to wiki, since the 1960's in the Ludways house!

"Quickly, immediately, at once. This word is a corruption of the French ‘tout de suite’, which literally means 'all at once'."

Ludways · 03/05/2016 09:34
