Yes, cadbury, I'm looking at you!

I have never tested anything and I have never won anything either, and yet here are loads of you who've tested loads!

Dear AnnMumsnet, what did go so badly wrong with Cadbury's? Why did you ask people to sign up and then give them no more opportunities than people who didn't?

rainbowstardrops · 30/04/2016 08:51

Am I the only one that has absolutely no idea this was even happening???
How do I sign up for stuff? Blush

Madhairday · 30/04/2016 08:54

Yep - another one here who was excited to get on the Cadbury panel but never been sent anything despite applying for things like the easter egg thing. Surely if you're selected for a panel then they send you stuff? Most unimpressed.

ALemonyPea · 30/04/2016 09:01

I suspect a lot of the companies have a specific age range they want feedback from. Maybe that's why some people are picked more than others.

I've tested loads of stuff. The best was the Wii, we still have it and it gets played on just as much as when we got it.

droitwichmummy · 30/04/2016 09:08

I used to get a few things but not anymore. I am another one on the Cadbury panel that received nothing.
I probably don't meet the ideal demographic anymore as DS is 12. Everything seems to be aimed at people with younger children. I wasn't even eligible for the tampon bags as I've had a hysterectomy!

InMySpareTime · 30/04/2016 09:12

I've tested some great stuff over the years, not so much recently though:
DVR box
George Foreman grill
Optimus Prime
Cadbury Baubles
Egg & spoon (Cadburys again, but yonks ago)
Flendr (hate the name BTW)
Kinnerton Christmas chocolates

Thinking about it, I got more chocolate tests before I joined the Cadburys panel. That seems counter-intuitiveConfused

I did the online GP thing - it was truly awful, as bad as 111. And some baby food arrived yesterday. I've tried for four years, but I don't think I fill in enough surveys.

TheBestChocolateIsFree · 30/04/2016 09:26

I got some Cadburys chocolate baubles at Christmas which went down well. I think that's the only thing I've had recently apart from the Anchor baking one a while ago. I was gutted to miss the binbags, which looked great.

However I did two fantastic product tests in previous years, and I've won two vouchers from non-tester comments on feedback threads including one so large that the shop assistants exclaimed in shock when they ran it through the machine Grin. So I'm not complaining.

Haha, reading this thread, it's quite clear that the Visqueen Bin bags were THE must have product!

Seriously, I know they are expensive but they are a) huge and b) so strong that you can ram them full and they don't break so c) last a lot longer.
