For taking out so much in dividends and creating a huge pension black hole?

Does this mean that people with pensions might loose out while he runs away making millions?

Well it didn't end well for the last pension thief with a luxury yacht.

Figmentofmyimagination · 26/04/2016 22:05

There is something faintly satanic about earning so many millions that you decide your life would be better spent as a tax exile.

Sixweekstowait · 26/04/2016 22:18

Weeks before he sold BHS for a £1, his stepson bought one of the BHS stores for £6m and sold it three months later for £9.5m. PG is disgusting as is everything he stands for.

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 26/04/2016 22:19

Yes and the money he took out of the business was bloody chump change to him. He's a multi-billionaire, what would that money have bought him that he couldn't already have and not notice the cost?

Sixweekstowait · 26/04/2016 22:20

The pension protection scheme is funded by contributions from companies with pension schemes.

LarryStylison · 26/04/2016 22:39

He is a shining example of what is wrong with the UK under the Tories.

I hope he's the next celeb to pop his clogs. Angry

Justanotherlurker · 26/04/2016 22:42

The problem with BHS pension was it was on the outdated model of shares/dividends within itself, the business model wasn't viable in today's environment even without the vultures circling.

We could have a pension crisis in the public sector yet that could cause more devastating problems, you only have to glance over into Europe to see the plate spinning we are doing.

RB68 · 26/04/2016 23:00

Under the tories!! - he's been around lot longer than this current lot, happens under all of them its how the world goes round in their realms

AnotherEffingOrangeRevel · 27/04/2016 07:19

Yes, this stuff transcends political parties.

parrots · 27/04/2016 11:13

Here's hoping they throw the book at him.

Hissy · 27/04/2016 16:31

Course they won't. The rich get richer, the poor get demonised and then eaten.

He'll never see repercussions for this. He's a billionaire, he's a Tory donor, he's untouchable.

AnotherEffingOrangeRevel · 28/04/2016 15:18

I agree, Hissy. Once you get to a certain level of wealth and influence, normal principles no longer apply. He'll probably have a mock debate with a few politicians, have a laugh with Cameron and go out on his yacht...

Turbinaria · 29/04/2016 18:07

Well my NI contributions have increased this month and I'm taking home £80 less but hey PG gets a yacht and I get to contribute to the BHS pension fund deficit he caused Hmm

YesterdayOnceMore · 29/04/2016 18:17

He's already greased the right palms- and not just the Tories. I think he'll be ok. Sadly.
