Drivers who keep stopping to let traffic out of side roads. Grrr.

Ok, it's fair enough in really slow moving traffic, but this week I seem to be plagued with drivers who disrupt the normally flowing traffic (20mph or so) to "helpfully" let people out.

What about helping the people who are driving behind you by keeping going? Angry

As a pedestrian I hate it when a queue of traffic keeps moving at a steady 15-20mph because I can never cross the road. It's just slow enough for you to wait endlessly on the pavement, yet just fast enough to cause a nasty injury if the driver has her eyes fixed ahead and isn't looking from side to side.

Ginslinger · 12/04/2016 18:26

lighthearted disclaimers are the work of the devil.

MardyBra · 12/04/2016 18:27

I'd rather just take the abuse tbh gin.

I know - and if people can't work out what's fun and what isn't then gawd help us

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 18:29

I can't get too worked up about this. Or whatever lighthearted condiments are.

Owllady · 12/04/2016 18:29

It was me!
Did someone mention gin?

limitedperiodonly · 12/04/2016 18:30

You should never put lighthearted in the title. I also hate people who strike through the things they really want to say but don't have the guts to do it. Sometimes they strike through long sentences and it must have taken longer to do that than write the post.

MardyBra · 12/04/2016 18:31

OK Owllady, you can have gin if you promise not to do it next time.

OP posts:
Owllady · 12/04/2016 18:32

Well I can't drive if I've drank gin. Everyone's a winner Wink

carabos · 12/04/2016 18:32

This is my number one pet hate. Ok if you're in a line of slow-moving traffic and folks are trying to join the main carriageway, but absolutely not when everyone is proceeding along. You do not slam the anchors on every couple of hundred metres to let someone out of a side road. People round here do it all the time.

MardyBra · 12/04/2016 18:32

I don't mind a pithy strikeout limited when it indicates that you have self-edited a witty or sarcastic remark. Some huns posters don't always pull it off though. Wink

Finally carabos agrees with me. Grin

I'm too busy being annoyed by the dog shit next to my gate to get involved in condiments - lighthearted or downright mean and nasty.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 12/04/2016 18:34

Actually, I was all for saying YABU but you're talking about 20mph, not slow, crawling traffic. So yanbu.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 18:35

I need to find something to get all annoyed about today. Grin

MardyBra · 12/04/2016 18:36

The condiments thread is perfectly civilised so far. Nobody is getting flamed for their preference for Hellman's mayonnaise over Morrison's.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 18:36

Is everyone just listing condiments?

Owllady · 12/04/2016 18:36

I was annoyed they had no seafood sauce in lidl

MardyBra · 12/04/2016 18:37

Sparkling You are the most laid-back poster on MN surely. What on earth can we do to get you riled?

"Is everyone just listing condiments?"

Yup.

she can have the dogshit by my gate - that'll rile her and no mistake.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 18:40

I am sure there was a salad cream thread yesterday, I may even have posted on it. Must be condiments question week.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 18:41

Thanks Gin Sad Are you sure it's not cat shit though? Wink

Owllady · 12/04/2016 18:42

I have unidentified poo in my shed Confused
