How much cake (6 months pregnant) is U to eat?
Dh (very dear at the min) has just bought be a huge 12 serving chocolate fudge cake...
So would IBU to eat as much as is humanly possible? Or should I have 1 slice and move away from the cake?

All of it will be fine. It will actually last quite a while. My best friend dropped by with a giant costco carrot cake once as it was the day after my birthday and 4 weeks after Dd was born. Dh hates carrot cake so it was mine, all mine. It lasted a week as all visits from relatives were over by then. It was a good week. Grin

All over 24 hours, now that is my kind of plan.

SalemSaberhagen · 10/04/2016 20:09

Did you eat it all OP?

Dexterjamesmummy · 10/04/2016 20:12

Extra thick double cream helps it the day after! It was my daughters 1st birthday yesterday and I shall be buying cream tomorrow so I don't end up throwing cake away

CatchIt · 10/04/2016 20:15

I would say only 1 slice, though I'd like to eat another the rest.

I wouldn't because I got so fat in my first pregnancy and losing the weight was torture!

CatchIt · 10/04/2016 20:16

Eta, I'm 31 weeks with dc2 so feel your pain!

butteredmuffin · 10/04/2016 20:17

Isn't one of the perks of being pregnant being allowed to eat as much cake as you like and no one is allowed to judge you? Go nuts.

SouthWestmom · 10/04/2016 20:20

One slice.
It's sort of weird how people find over eating hilarious and yet we have a significant obesity issue.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 10/04/2016 20:23

Eat it all what you want and any that might go to waste. Never waste food. Eat the cake.

I might go buy cake...

PaulAnkaTheDog · 10/04/2016 20:25

And there's always one who wrecks the fun and doesn't quite get that things can be light hearted.

Tiggywinkler · 10/04/2016 20:27

I wouldn't go full Bruce Bogtrotter, but I'd give it a go.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 10/04/2016 20:29

full Bruce Bogtrotter is my new favourite phrase! Not ashamed to admit that I snorted when I read that.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 10/04/2016 20:29

I think the servings is just to get the calorie count down. Shops can't admit that you're about to eat a days calories in one pudding so they pretend you're going to share it with all your neighbours.

Fratelli · 10/04/2016 20:30

Yabu for even asking! Clearly the answer is to eat half the cake today and half tomorrow. Dh can have the crumbs!

Pinkheart5915 · 10/04/2016 20:34

TestingTesting me too.

This pregnancy I have been known to eat a whole lemon drizzle cake over the day Blush

Almostfifty · 10/04/2016 20:43

That'll be a Costco chocolate fudge cake then??

Eat a bit, freeze individual portions and enjoy it.

Pinkheart5915 · 10/04/2016 20:45

What is this Costco place everybody is talking about? Large chocolate cake I am defiantly missing out

NorthernBird92 · 10/04/2016 21:32

No not cosco although I may have to venture there if they do huge cake ...
Well sorry for the late update I have had a few -4- small -large- slices.
I even went all out and had some vanilla icecream with one piece.
To the previous poster who mentioned over eating and obesity and shit just so you know I have had some strawberrys and kiwi and seperate to some carrots today and that right there is balancing the cake Grin

I live in Hampshire well technically Surrey but will travel for cake 🎂

CakeNinja · 10/04/2016 21:39

I am on the Surrey/Hants border, I'll come and have a slice with you! Although only if you've got clotted cream to go with it.
