To ask if 10 year old girls should be wearing 2- 3 inch stilettos

Just that really.

A friend of mine has posted photos on her fb of her DD trying on strappy sandals in a shop today and they are so high her feet are pointed right down.

Would you put these on your DD at that age? I feel quite uncomfortable with this because it seems that it's a bit too 'old' for a 10 year old but also wonder at the damage it could cause to growing feet.

Quite prepared to be told I am an old fuddy duddy and should 'get with the times' but I won't be buying my DD shoes like that any time soon!

My dd wanted and had 3" heels for her primary 'prom' so she got them, never worn again and now at 14 she will not go there, brogues, boots, trainers at all times.

(Not influenced by her mum at all who is currently suffering from a 3 day stint in 4 to 5 inch heels for 16 hours a day (my disclaimer I switched it up between 5 & 5 for the duration and spent an hour at least awake barefoot).

God no. from what I see most adults struggle to walk in heels. makes them.all look pissed akd I really don't see the point of spike heels.

I go for wedges or slight chunky heel myself. I'd break my neck in seconds as would my Dds

mine wear ballet flats. maybe a very small built in heel. easy to walk and dance and run in.

I love how kids get away with pretty dress and trainers. think us adults should be the same!!! Grin

Madam ballet flats completely flat ( no heel) and shaped like ballet shoe regardless of material provide very little support to foot and can do different, but as bad damage to feet as heels can. Physiotherapists have not a good word to say about them.
