to think these dolls are going to kill me?

I'm working away in Switzerland at the moment. This afternoon I take baby (Nanny) for a nice peaceful stroll through the streets of the quaint Swiss city.
We walk down one of the dodgier streets that connects the park to the town centre, I'm pretty sure it's the red light district judging by the shop fronts but during the day it's perfectly safe if a bit vomit inducing.
Tucked into the corner of a window ledge there's a sign that reads "Free" (in German) and a collection of the creepiest fricking dolls I've ever seen.
Now I'm not stupid, I know that if I'd taken them they'd murder me in my sleep at 33 minutes past 3 in the morning. I couldn't help but take a photo though.

AIBU to think I've witnessed the start of a horror film? Or that perhaps even taking a photo has got me caught up in one? Grin

I'll add the photonion here for the rest of you Grin sharing is caring and all that!

Ps. I also happen to be the Nanny that survived the Bloodman in Colorado a few years back, if anyone remembers that...

topcat2014 · 24/03/2016 07:08

Dolls and clowns runs away screaming

NotAnotherNameChangeAgain · 24/03/2016 07:39

I'm alive!
Are you guys okay? I feel posting that photo may have just expanded their pool of victims and they found a more appealing target.

Going back today - I'm dying to know if they're still there.
(Perhaps not the best choice of phrase...)

Sell them to the haunted doll collector up thread Grin

liz70 · 24/03/2016 07:47

The nuddy dolls are Kewpies by the looks of them.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 24/03/2016 07:58

The Weeping Angels on Doctor Who do that 'if you see them you become one' thing so good luck OP - I'm sure you will be fine Grin

Lunar1 · 24/03/2016 08:06

Did you take the picture on your phone? They could climb out of your phone at any time, I suggest stamping on
it and throwing in the river.

FattyNinjaOwl · 24/03/2016 08:17

DON'T GO BACK!
They are certain to murder you then.

MiffleTheIntrovert · 24/03/2016 08:35

I have these shoes. They terrified DH so much he refused to have them in the bedroom whilst he slept, and he used to put them out on the stairs before bed.

I took great pleasure in sneaking out in the night and moving one shoe up to the next step. I don't think he has recovered yet Grin

FlibbertigibbetArmadillo · 24/03/2016 09:34

Just read the whole blood man thread! Thought it was awesome and that I'm afraid you are followed by a curse Grin

glueandstick · 24/03/2016 10:44

With all due respect, I really hope you are never my nanny. I couldn't deal with the level of creep that appears to follow you around. Perhaps you could market yourself as a niche market nanny. You'd make a fortune. Just not from people like me. mutters something about garlic, rabbit paws and crosses for protection

NotAnotherNameChangeAgain · 24/03/2016 10:58

Miffle that's so cruel and ingenius

I had a mannequin head I used for photos of hair things I made and exdp HATES it.
Naturally if I ever was up before him I'd rest in peacefully on the pillow for him to wake up next to

glueandstick well there are two ways of looking at it - yes there's a lot of woo in my life so arguably I could be the common denominator HOWEVER I survive it - I think I'm the one you want on your side or a demon

This sort of thing is horribly common in Germany too. I've never seen ones so bad they had to be given away before, but my oldest friend is German and she sent me any number as gifts over the years. Utterly tasteless.

NotAnotherNameChangeAgain · 24/03/2016 15:50

Some lunatic has taken them!!

Cluckers · 24/03/2016 16:02

Don't worry, nobody has them. They followed you home yesterday.

AgentZigzag · 24/03/2016 16:05

'Some lunatic has taken them!!'

Or have they...?

A pic will appear on the internet of them dragging their chairs off on their way to do their foul deeds.

AgentZigzag · 24/03/2016 16:07

Mmmm, maybe you're right Cluckers.

Check round outside your house for little footprints OP.

Is it snowing where you are by any chance?

liz70 · 24/03/2016 16:09

"Ma-ma! Ma-ma!"

FattyNinjaOwl · 24/03/2016 16:43

This is where the weird eerie stabby music would be in a horror movie

londonrach · 24/03/2016 16:46

Hides behind the sofa!

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/03/2016 16:51

They are hiding behind that curtain. Giggling to themselves. As they sharpen their tiny knives.

glueandstick · 24/03/2016 17:58

You're right. I'd rather be with you then against you.

BettyEasterBunny · 24/03/2016 18:53

some lunatic has taken them
I wonder if whomever is now their proud owner has ever seen The Conjurying or Annabelle Shock
