Or am I alone?

OP posts:
FreshsatsumaforDd · 16/03/2016 12:34

Hard to read for me, and quite a strain on the eyes.

ifgrandmahadawilly · 16/03/2016 12:34

This font is incredably ugly and difficult to read. Hate it.

TheHemsleysAteMyHamster · 16/03/2016 12:37

I am usually fine with new fonts etc but the height of the letters makes each line blur into the one above and below. I much prefer Univers55 fwiw. what a handsome font that is.

Katedotness1963 · 16/03/2016 12:38

My eyes don't like it, I have to keep taking a break from the page.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 16/03/2016 12:38

I'm struggling to read it Confused.

The words look "squashed".

EchoOfADistantTide · 16/03/2016 12:39

It's 'spidery' and difficult to read.

Floggingmolly · 16/03/2016 12:40

It is hard to read. What's the point of it? Confused

TiggyD · 16/03/2016 12:43

I don't think it's as clear and easy to read as it was before.

I suppose it's like getting a tattoo of Ben Fogle on your face. You'll get used to it in a couple of years, in the meantime it's a talking point.

pootlepootle · 16/03/2016 12:44

I think it's fab. Very fresh and modern.

tomatoIzzy · 16/03/2016 12:46

You'll get used to it! Just when you do, they'll change it again. I don't really like change very much.

Anyone else opened this thread thinking it would be about a crazy fashion trend?

firesidechat · 16/03/2016 12:48

It's 'spidery' and difficult to read.

To me it's the very opposite of spidery.

Classic case of not pleasing all of the people all of the time.

MrsNoraCharles · 16/03/2016 12:51

Love it. Much clearer and cleaner.

Iggi999 · 16/03/2016 12:59

I don't like it. Why change? Who asked for change? Was it YOU??

KitKat1985 · 16/03/2016 13:02

I don't like it. Angry

Notso · 16/03/2016 13:06

Oh I thought my iPad was dodgy. I don't care for it which is why I used desktop on the iPad. The writing is too pale and thin.

EponasWildDaughter · 16/03/2016 13:06

Thumbs down.

And yes, as i'm typing this i can see the text is so thin and spidery. With such massive ziggy red underlines if you misspell you can hardly see the word!

Whyyyyyyyyy does everything have to be changed all the bleddy time?

Notso · 16/03/2016 13:07

I still harrumph when I read 'trending' instead of most active.

PageStillNotFound404 · 16/03/2016 13:10

I like it. It's cleaner and sharper on my screen. Have only tried it on iPad and laptop though, not sure I'll be so keen on my phone (although TBF I find the phone app so maddening I rarely use it).

BYOSnowman · 16/03/2016 13:11

In my phone and it's giving me a headache

claig · 16/03/2016 13:14

YANBU

It is bloody terrible

backwardpossom · 16/03/2016 13:17

It's a much harder font to read. IMO.

OurBlanche · 16/03/2016 13:20

It's the same typeface as Facebook, I think. But we have Light rather than Book weight. I also think that the contrast needs adjusting. If you look at your own posts, the different colour background makes it easier to read. If MNHQ change the weight of the typeface and the colour saturation of the background it should be alright!

backwardpossom · 16/03/2016 13:23

"I also think that the contrast needs adjusting. If you look at your own posts, the different colour background makes it easier to read."

Yes, exactly this.

EponasWildDaughter · 16/03/2016 13:25

Interesting blanche, yes, my own posts are set to pale pink and it is a little easier on the eye than on the white.

............. oh these fecking red zig zags!

BYOSnowman · 16/03/2016 13:25

It's all a bit too pastel now
