And where they are stored in between washes if used more than once?

Bath / shower towels probably once every week / ten days here and stored in airing cupboard.

Ok competition time. Who can make a mnemonic out of the word 'Horlicks'.
I am so innocent I never realised Horlicks could be taken as quite rude. Oh my!

ColdTeaAgain · 10/03/2016 23:11

Why is everyone mentioning Horlicks?

ArgyMargy · 11/03/2016 08:15

However tiresome the question is (let's face it, there is no "right" way to do towels or most things frankly), the joy of MN is in the subsequent bantz. As you were.

Sparklingbrook · 11/03/2016 08:18

'Bantz' Sad My 14 year old keeps saying that.

ArgyMargy · 11/03/2016 08:23

It's ok Sparkling I don't use it IRL Grin

Sparklingbrook · 11/03/2016 08:24

Phew. The Inbetweeners have a lot to answer for. Angry

Queenbean · 11/03/2016 08:34

OP you've had a bit of a hard time here! However, in the last few days there's been a "how often do you wash your bedsheets", a "inspired by that thread, AIBU to change my sheets once a week", and now this. So it's really a TAATAAT.

Sparkling I so agree that it would be nice if people read others posts a bit more and actually chatted rather than skimming over all other posts and just putting their opinion forward

VaJayJay · 11/03/2016 08:48

I like these threads as I always learn something new Grin

Last time I learnt that a lot of people have their own specific towels and some people think it's disgusting to share towels with the rest of their family.
We're scuzzbuckets in our house, we just have a big cupboard full and everybody is free to choose any towel they like (although I always hide the soft ones at the bottom of the pile so I can use them).

GoddessWhoWalksEarthAsWoman · 11/03/2016 08:57

Yes yes I love these threads too and I love the people who question whether we who love them have got lives and yet waste their lives posting on threads about stuff that irritates them so!!!

Once a weekish or if they smell and in the airing cupboard.

Sparklingbrook · 11/03/2016 09:01

YY Queen it is Mumsnet Talk after all.

The 'how much did your 1st baby weigh?' or 'How long was your labour?' stuff they are just long lists of numbers. Confused

BlueMoonRising · 11/03/2016 09:14

Why would you wash towels?

Surely they are only ever in contact with clean water after showering/bathing so they just need to be dried?

Skiptonlass · 11/03/2016 09:15

Ooooh id love an airing cupboard...

Our towels are washed in a mix of Evian and unicorn tears. From organically farmed unicorns of course.

Queenbean · 11/03/2016 09:19

In the interests of chat Sparkling yes I agree! Grin

hefzi · 11/03/2016 11:08

Duchess actually, I keep mine in my wardrobe, as I don't have an airing cupboard: there - that's another possible answer Grin

MakingJudySmile · 11/03/2016 12:21

Ah yes VaJayJay, that was a new one by me.

Previous to a thread on towel washing, I read many moons ago, I had always though towel sharing was using the same towel as someone I between it's washes (however frequent). However it turns out 'sharing' is using a towel that someone else had used even after it was washed and dried.

I'm about to put a towel wash on now, in case anyone was wondering.
