And his wife everywhere? Seemingly because they have done what millions of others in the world do? What's the point of them? baffled
Everyone else seems to like them please tell me I'm not alone

You're not bitter op. They are just a pain in the arse. Hipster, yuppy guppy nonsense really. Yeah he's a 'musician' and she's an author. But all he frigging does is post posed, twee videos of his son. I think his 'musician' days are a thing of the past.

Plus Buzz and Buddy?! Really? Just no.

YANBU.

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2016 20:13

I think for me it's that they post stuff that normally in non sleb world is reserved for interested family members only.
I too watched the time lapse video released today wondering if something exciting would happen, but she had a baby. Which we knew about. Confused Plus they did the same thing the first time around.

They do seem lovely but I am wondering if there is a limited appetite for that sort of stuff now, and maybe monthly updates would be suffice.

I don't want to be mean spirited, it's just what I think.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 06/03/2016 20:19

It's not mean-spirited to not like inane, mind-numbing posts of daily family life tweeified to make it all sound cute.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 06/03/2016 20:22

Why the fuck is it 'mean spirited'??? Is everyone meant to fawn over people they don't know and never will constantly 'vlogging' every mundane aspect of their life in the most vomtastic way? And why are those who 'like' pointless people like this so aggressive to those who dont? Its not like anyone has said 'people who like vloggers are cunts' so why is it those who dont are called bitter bastards etc?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2016 20:24

The Fletchers must know that their stuff is not going to be received with enthusiasm by everyone, they aren't stupid.

FlowersAndShit · 06/03/2016 20:26

See, that's just fucking harsh. Fine to say you don't like them but why go so far? Makes you sound bitter and jealous.

Hi Tom

LilacSpunkMonkey · 06/03/2016 20:27

You agreed with the quite nasty post from FlowersandShit immediately after she posted it but you don't see anything mean spirited in all this?

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 06/03/2016 20:31

How soon/late was I allowed to agree? Or was I not Confused

OP posts:
PaulAnkaTheDog · 06/03/2016 20:32

Mean spirited for disliking people sharing every single boring aspect of their lives? Right. Ok then... Hmm

Alisvolatpropiis · 06/03/2016 20:32

Yanbu

I do find them very contrived. And find the latest "someone who we won't name because we've made it up said nasty things to me when I've recently given birth" a tad too fanciful to be true.

LilacSpunkMonkey · 06/03/2016 20:34

If they were sharing their lives on a direct download into your brain I'd agree but as they're entirely avoidable with very little effort then yes, it's mean-spirited.

InQuiteAPickle · 06/03/2016 20:35

Aw, I think they seem lovely although I haven't really seen much of them, to be fair. Confused

I saw Giovanna on This Morning the other day talking about the photo she posted of her post baby body when someone had given her a negative comment and I thought she seemed lovely. Although I'm a prat who Dh thinks is a shit judge of character so what do I know? Grin

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 06/03/2016 20:35

Unfortunately they aren't, as I explained earlier...I dont follow youtube channels or subscribe to them and still hear about them far more often than i'd like

OP posts:
MoonriseKingdom · 06/03/2016 20:40

It's all so horribly twee. I have an otherwise normal friend on Facebook who likes and comments on their videos so they pop up from time to time. I feel uncomfortable with the whole pushing your kids in the limelight thing. Similar with Katie Price/ Peter Andre and their incessant reality shows.

I really hope all the lovey dovey totally happy image is for real. If any skeletons were to fall out of their closet I bet the press would be delighted.

gunting · 06/03/2016 20:41

If anyone can watch this without pulling out their teeth and not be filled with rage and then still say they aren't annoying then fine, we can agree to disagree.

VioletVaccine · 06/03/2016 20:43

YANBU.

Like most Mums, I kept pregnancy photos, diaries and documented 'firsts' in each of my pregnancies. Two of the three births were filmed too.
They are meaningful, and in my opinion beautiful, memories.
So who's seen these special and intimate images/videos? Less than 10 people, because they are personal to us and our family.

Why is it so sweet and moving, to share 280 time lapsed photos of your stretching Uterus for faceless strangers?

Unless your family bond grows proportionally with social media Likes

Fairylea · 06/03/2016 20:43

Playing devils advocate, IF she did make the whole "bump comment" thing up does it really matter? The thought behind it was good, it got people talking positively about women's post birth bodies and that has to be a good thing.

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2016 20:43

I can't watch that again gunting. I just can't.

LilacSpunkMonkey · 06/03/2016 20:46

But where is it you keep coming across them?

I don't follow them or subscribe to any of their channels.

I read about them on here (on this kind of thread) than I do anywhere else.

gunting · 06/03/2016 20:49

Fairy no you're right, it is good to talk about it. But Kate Middleton still sporting a bump after Prince George was born made me think about women's post birth bodies more than some dubious Facebook story from someone who mades hourly attempts to go 'viral'.

LardLizard · 06/03/2016 21:04

The ott ness of it all worked as a wedding speech song as you can get away with a normally unbearable amount of slush then

But enough already

Barf

Imchangingmyname · 06/03/2016 21:19

Hi Tom

Flowers sorry to disappoint. Still think you're harsh. And weird.

HolgerDanske · 06/03/2016 21:23

There is a particularly cynical view that I hold with a small part of me, but I won't voice it here because it's just too mean and I wouldn't want to piss on something that seems really quite sweet if in an appealing-mostly-to-thirteen-year-olds kind of way.

Other than that I don't like or dislike them as people. Why would I? I don't know them and I certainly don't have to watch their videos or in any way let their existence permeate my own. It's the way celebrity works these days, and at least they are perpetuating a wholesome ideal IMO. There's enough to make you properly sick in the world, I really don't see why there can't also be a bit of sickly sweet smugness to balance the whole thing a bit.

FlowersAndShit · 06/03/2016 22:44

Imchanging Still think you're Tom/Giovanni/a family member

Lovesabadboy · 07/03/2016 00:14

I think the Wedding speech was a novelty at the time.

The film of little Buzz and the dandelion puff clock was adorable and made me smile.

But now I think the novelty is wearing off. Certainly, for me, a couple of cute things were enough, and I think that they are in danger of a lot of people who originally thought it was cute, starting to get a little fed up of it.
I am sure it won't be long before the spoof/mickey-taking vlogs will be out!

I am not a fan, nor do I follow anything to do with them, but any time any of my FB friends 'like' anything of theirs then I do get to see it ... especially now the videos on FB are on auto-play!
