And his wife everywhere? Seemingly because they have done what millions of others in the world do? What's the point of them? baffled
Everyone else seems to like them please tell me I'm not alone

He called his kids Buzz Michaelangelo and Buddy Bob. So yes, he can shut up.

MistressMerryWeather · 06/03/2016 17:40

but while it's good why not celebrate it

I agree. They are probably running hand in hand through a meadow right now wearing daisy crowns to celebrate mothers day.

Just don't film it all.

ThursdayLastWeek · 06/03/2016 17:41

If only that were true Holger

ThursdayLastWeek · 06/03/2016 17:42

Sorry, this I mean

You really wouldn't know who he is unless you or someone in your household were heavily into McFly or McBusted.

100% incorrect!

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 06/03/2016 17:47

My kids love his books.

gunting · 06/03/2016 17:51

I'm sick of he sight of them.

I think the PP who described them as contrived has hit the nail on the head. I don't believe someone actually pointed at her 5 days after giving birth and laughed saying 'mummy's got a tummy'.

If they did then it very conveniently allowed her to go on a rant on Facebook which got her loads of likes, shares, mentions on this morning blah blah.

Did anyone see the video he made of her pretending to be in labour and he gets his ukelale (seethes) out?

MitzyLeFrouf · 06/03/2016 17:53

Oh God gunting I can happily say that I have not! Sounds utterly twee. And I get twee rage.

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 06/03/2016 17:54

I find them very annoying - however, Giovanna spoke out this week about the negative and hurtful comments she'd had, just days after giving birth, about her 'mum tum'.

It was saccharine sweet but well intended, and right of course!

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 06/03/2016 17:55

X-post with gunting - it might have been a PR stunt, but surely anything that fights the negative body image of women post-partum is a good thing?

Hulababy · 06/03/2016 17:57

I can very much believe that if you are famous then people WILL make negative comments on the way you look, even days after giving birth. Its not the first time we've heard of such things after all.

FlowersAndShit · 06/03/2016 17:57

I find them both annoying, sickly sweet and cringeworthy. Tom is like "look everybody, my dick works!" You swear they are the first couple to ever have children.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 06/03/2016 18:02

That's exactly what they are like flowers

Heh I suppose maybe I'm quite sheltered from it - I only came across their vlogs randomly on YouTube a while back but I guess maybe some people have got it on their feeds constantly. I suppose that could get old quite quickly! I wasn't a fan and my children are too young to have known him from McFly so I was only vaguely aware of him prior to seeing him on the Cube, which was such a good performance that I actually was impressed and somehow the name stuck.

RockUnit · 06/03/2016 19:15

I've never heard of them.

PortobelloRoad · 06/03/2016 19:18

What's the point of them?

What's the point of you?

VioletVaccine · 06/03/2016 19:21

YADNBU

If that latest baby time-lapse video was any more sickly sweet, I'd have lapsed into a diabetic coma

LittleRedSparke · 06/03/2016 19:23

never heard of him, had to read the thread to see who he is

Thatrabbittrickedme · 06/03/2016 19:23

Oh he co wrote the dinosaur that pooed a planet? I do know him them, DS loves those books! They make me completely boak though

Imchangingmyname · 06/03/2016 19:43

I find them both annoying, sickly sweet and cringeworthy. Tom is like "look everybody, my dick works!" You swear they are the first couple to ever have children

See, that's just fucking harsh. Fine to say you don't like them but why go so far? Makes you sound bitter and jealous.

LilacSpunkMonkey · 06/03/2016 19:51

Oh my.

Quite a lot of nastiness here towards a completely harmless and inoffensive family.

There are so many, many other people this kind of bile could be directed towards, yet Tom and Giovanna Fletcher seem to be frequent targets on here.

It's not showing a nice side of this place at all really. When we get one of the umpteen threads about Cheryl FV that pop up on a regular basis people post saying how hateful it is. Weird that Tom and Giovanna appear to be fair game though.

Fairylea · 06/03/2016 19:57

I really don't understand why people hate them so much.

They met at school aged 13 and have been in love ever since. She is a successful author and famous in her own right and he has had a lot of success in both the music industry and now with children's books. Good luck to them. There's so much misery in the world, personally I love a bit of happiness. They seem like genuinely very nice people. I love them.

gruffaloshmuffalo · 06/03/2016 20:01

I like them, they're are very sweet. I also loved Giovanni Fletcher's book. Thought it was really well written and enjoyable.

CommunistLegoBloc · 06/03/2016 20:04

I saw that timelapse video on FB today having previously had no idea who they were. Fuck me it was boring. The only reason I kept watching was because I was waiting for the zombies to arrive or paint to dry or something less mundane and predictable than a random pregnant woman steadily getting more pregnant and then, shock of all shocks, having a baby.

bruffin · 06/03/2016 20:04

Agree Lilac
Its a mean spirited thread

gunting · 06/03/2016 20:08

I think if it was just the books and singing that they work on then that's great. But it's strange to market your products and brand by using your kids.

Today they posted on their Facebook page 'go to our YouTube page to see the first pictures of our new baby'. Confused
