AIBU to think the presents I bought my mum for Mother's Day presents are rubbish? :(

Hello everyone!
I'm already very forgetful but due to some recent events I won't go into my memory and organisation have been even worse lately. This led to me hectically buying my mum a gift for Mother's Day today, on my lunch break.

I bought her a tiny box of chocolates as none of the bigger boxes were left, gloves, thermal socks, a card and two jumpers. To explain the gloves and socks, she rides a bike to and from work six days a week, she's been complaining recently her feet are always freezing hence the socks and the gloves are specifically for bike riding.

Do you think this enough? I feel terrible for leaving it so last minute and grabbing things off the shelves without putting much thought into them :(

I think that sounds very thoughtful and I'm sure she will appreciate warm toes. I got mine a pug in a mug as she kept banging on about using coffee filters to make her loose tea!!! That and a card.

No idea what i will get but have hinted I would like a salt pig so hoping for that from the DTs who are 3 so hopefully DH was listening too

Sorry for your loss OP. I didn't mean to jump to conclusions (asking if your mum was high maintenance)- there are a lot of threads like these and sometimes there's a bit of a back story where the mother is never pleased whatever they get and it was because you sounded quite stressed in your original post and that what you had bought wasn't good enough. Im sure your mum will love them. You sound very kind. My mum would go a bit daft if I spent money on her on Mother's Day, I do get her a plant or some flowers but nothing amazing or expensive. I think token gifts are fine and what you've bought sounds useful too Smile
