In my opinion it is such a bloody patronising, condescending, virtue-signalling phrase. It makes my blood boil.

(Or AIBVU and need to go and educate myself?)

""It's a patronising, debate killing, put down""

I somewhat agree, even though I have used 'educate yourself' twice very recently.

One was on a FB (I know) status about Refuggees/ISIS and the other was to two adult women defending 'poor Adam Johnson' because it was 'sly' that this 'silly little slag' was being allowed to 'get away with what she intended to do'.

There are some people that you can't debate with and some views that are not deserving of debate, one being that adult males are preyed upon by teen girls.

And the classic:

Person:"I believe A"
Arsehole:"You believe C? C is wrong because of this and that and the otter. HEY EVERYONE! Person thinks C!"
