To go to McDonalds and ask for a gherkin burger

My DH says yes. Personally I don't feel it is a weird request and I can't be the only one who wants a fecking burger filled with gherkins with a smarter of that onion thing they do.

He is refusing to even try. I am hormonal (peri-menopausal) and craving one.

He is going to procure a grubby snack for himself and asked me if there is anything I want. So I told him. AIBU

PippaHotamus, I'm very surprised you got a deli. They stopped doing them a couple of months ago, there's no more stock for them and they're not on the website.

www.mcdonalds.co.uk/ukhome/product_nutrition.vegetarianmain.1613.spicy-vegetable-deluxe.html Is this what you got?

Ha!

The German word for cucumber is Gurke!

Cornichons are the thing!

Can't you just get a jar of then to eat?

candykane25 · 16/02/2016 21:42

Cadence you are welcome :)

Yes the best thing about being a gherkin lover is everyone else giving you theirs because they hate them. Wish that happened with Yorkshire puds. No one parts with a Yorkshire pud.

Funny thread. Grin

I crave them sometimes but one or two hits the spot and I don't want anymore.

My mother makes a salad at Christmas that involves the miniscule chopping of two of the largest jars of gherkins you can imagine. Hours it takes... it took me even longer this Christmas as she'd broken her arm and handed the baton to me... my poor shrivelled, vinegary fingers! Shock

Salad was lovely though...

Are you expecting him to go get you one, or are you going to get one yourself?

I mean it sounds like a good idea, love gherkins and the sauces in McD but don't like the meat. But if you think he should get it YABU, asking for one yourself the YANBU; I'd also say if you're getting it the HIBU to object!!

my dd loves mcdonald's pickles. I actually bought a jar of pickles in lidl that taste the same. Maybe they would satisfy your craving.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 16/02/2016 22:09

Mmmmmmmm, I love gherkins and McDonald's.
I asked for a small (happy meal size ) milkshake for my son but was told I couldn't because there wasn't a button!
She looked at me like an outlaw when I said I was happy to pay for a medium milkshake but I only wanted a small one!

magimedi · 16/02/2016 23:01

Pita bread.

Toasted.

Sliced in half & split (work at speed now)

Spread with peanut butter, thin slices of cheddar & LOTS of gherkins.,

thomassodorisland · 16/02/2016 23:18

Ex employee from years ago you can ask they may charge extra 20p there's a button I wouldn't have but it is possible.

I personally don't like them or the di high onions (the tiny ones).

thomas
You don't happen to know what Brand Mc Donald's use? I can't seem to find any that taste quite like them in the supermarkets! 😫

TheChocolateDidIt · 17/02/2016 12:23

FGS I can actually see a McDs from my office window and now all I want is a cheeseburger with extra (lots) gherkins. Damn you all to hell.
