I'm just curious as some do, some don't

We fit quite easily. He gets the tap end though (gentleman)

Artandco · 14/02/2016 10:32

I usually make Dh get in first so I can lean against him like a pillow.

expatinscotland · 14/02/2016 10:36

No. Yuck. We all shower.

Twinklefuck · 14/02/2016 10:37

The kids share a bath (2&3yo) but they never get particularly dirty unless it's pasta night and me or dh will sometimes get in if they ask for the last five minutes but we'd have showered in the morning. Otherwise no chance. I'm a little ocd anyway I'm told!

Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2016 10:38

If I have a bath its me and a book and a glass of wine and the door locked.

Ubik1 · 14/02/2016 10:40

My children do. No way am I running three seperate baths Hmm

Artandco · 14/02/2016 10:41

We don't even have a lock on bathroom door..

Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2016 10:42

I couldn't not have a lock on the bathroom door. Especially when we have visitors.

OhGodWhatTheHellNow · 14/02/2016 10:46

Jeez, how dirty do some of you get before you bathe? I like my bath boil-a-lobster hot and only stay in 10 minutes, dh likes to soak in warm water for an hour, the perfect combination and I don't leave the bathwater in a gross state, thank you, it is still all bubbly. We have an enormous tub and this way I get to fill it guilt-free every other day, lovely.

Gwenhwyfar · 14/02/2016 10:48

"I couldn't not have a lock on the bathroom door. Especially when we have visitors"

Yes, that's not nice for your visitors.

Artandco · 14/02/2016 10:49

Why isn't no lock nice? In out home door open means it's free, if it's closed someone is in there.

Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2016 10:50

I hate visiting people that don't have locks on their loos and bathrooms.

Snowey101 · 14/02/2016 10:51

The thought of this actually makes me feel sick.

I don't have baths because you're effectively bathing in your own dirt (unless you shower first I guess) and the thought of bathing in someone else's sweat and everything to do with 'downstairs' literally makes me heave.

Just.....why?!

Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2016 10:51

That might work in your home Art but its not internationally recognised. Grin

Twinklefuck · 14/02/2016 10:52

No bathroom lock always has me doing this hover over seat/hand reaching for door in case someone comes bounding in I realise I may have issues

BrianCoxReborn · 14/02/2016 10:53

I've yet to die or get a hideous disease from sharing bath water.

BrianCoxReborn · 14/02/2016 10:54

I also like boiling water bubbles and am.in for a max of 15 mins..every night, shower in the morning.

When I get out the water is still crystal clear.

Gwenhwyfar · 14/02/2016 11:00

"No bathroom lock always has me doing this hover over seat/hand reaching for door in case someone comes bounding in I realise I may have issues"

I don't see why you'd have issues. It is very awkward if you're visiting and the people the house, or other visitors, walk in on you on the toilet. It happened to me once when the lock just wasn't good enough and the door opened anyway. It was at a party and both of us were mortified. If I'm not sure a lock is present or good enough I usually put my (heavy) handbag against the door, but it's very uncomfortable.

BolshierAryaStark · 14/02/2016 11:01

Yep we share bath water, I'm usually 1st in though tbf...

NeedsAsockamnesty · 14/02/2016 11:02

Depends where I am. In the now infrequently visited main house then yes because the bath is still filled by hand (well huge jug) in the normal house with normal taps then the kids come in with me sometimes but not one after the other

OhYouLuckyDuck · 14/02/2016 11:06

No. My mother was one of 8 and they had a tin bath in front of the fire in the lounge once a week, their Dad would go in first and then their Mum and the children in age order. I don't think they ever threw the baby out though.

OhYouLuckyDuck · 14/02/2016 11:07

Sparkling is that why you don't come and visit us? Grin
We have no lock but also never have visitors (at least not in the last ten years).

OhGodWhatTheHellNow · 14/02/2016 11:08

Went potholing with a large group when I was a student, got back to the boarding house and they could only produce enough hot water for about three shallow baths, not very hot and no bubbles, so we all had to trlple-up and draw straws, that was not OK,

Sharing with family, OK.

plurabelle · 14/02/2016 11:08

How do those who find bathing in a partner's bathwater dirty, disgusting and unhygienic feel about sexual intercourse>

After all this too involves the possibility of making contact with somebody's skin cells. There's also I imagine a risk that this thing called a 'poo crumb' (am not absolutely sure what one is) might get dislodged in the process.

Sparklingbrook · 14/02/2016 11:10

Put a lock on Duck and you might find you are inundated with visitors. Grin
