I'm sorry but a woman being locked up against her will for forced sex is rape not a bloody romp. This is disgraceful.

Yuck, disgusting. What is the best way to complain?

It's so depressing that rape gets referred to as 'romp' in the year 2016 in the UK Sad

The story states that she was chased round the room. An actual romp/rape doesn't seem to have ensued on this occasion.

What's your point exalted? That she managed to run away from the threatened rape romp so that's OK?

So soldiers threatened with beating by a corporal who has form for beating recruits into heart attacks isn't going to do it to you?

How terrified must Cheryl James have been? In barracks with the strictures of the army around her at 18 with the fear of rape slung into it all.

The Scum haven't learnt a single lesson. Hillsborough. Milly Dowler.

We may call an 18 year old a girl in casual conversation but in this instance she should absolutely have been referred to as a young woman. Everything about this piece reeks of contempt and casual dismissal, it's disgusting.

Come on now... exalted

Romp to me = Carry-on style fun

Being chased around the room by someone you have no intention of having sex with doesn't sound all that fun to me... that this happened on a different occasion to the next assault she may well have been assaulted on this occasion is neither here nor there.

The story states that she was chased round the room. An actual romp/rape doesn't seem to have ensued on this occasion.

But it was part of the overall events. It wasn't some Benny Hill style jape where they chased around and then had a good giggle, it was sexual intimidation that led to rape.
