AIBU to wonder why I gained the weight?

I struggled with weight issues in my teens and early twenties- never obese, but I was around a size twelve and looked chubby.

Then I started losing the puppy fat- I also started to clean up my diet and became more active. Lost loads of weight and was down to a size 6.

Thinnest I'd ever been and I was thrilled!

But in the last year, the weight has slowly been creeping back on... I've gained around 5-7 kilos and I'm a size 8-10.

I'm still eating healthy. I'm still as active. I've literally changed nothing!

Why has the weight come back [weight] I could blame some fluid retention on the pill, but I'd begun gaining weight before I started the pill.

Any idea what on earth it could be if I haven't changed diet or exercise regime?

Runners also enjoy the actual running don't they? It's not just the achievement of it.
If there's no fun in the actual doing, I'm not sure I can motivate myself. I was thinking of some kind of class as doing it to music might be more interesting.

that doesn't mean anything over a size 6 is fat. It wasn't my intention to imply that when I started this thread.

You've never implied that OP.

Gwen do they do body pump? That's quite decent. I find after a break from spin it does hurt on the saddle but I bought myself a gel seat cover which makes a difference! Plus I do the 30 min classes as opposed to the hour ones
It's whatever motivates you really. I thought I hated exercise but the adrenaline I get from weights is insane, and I like aerial hoop as its a fun atmosphere plus it's body weight exercise, same as pole really

The thing with weights is you can see the results fairly quickly - I don't do a lot of exercise that works my arms and shoulders so I top up with weights - and I do like the tone of them and the almost lack of bingo wings

The thing I don't like about weights is that they're heavy lol.

I also have CFS/fibromyalgia which rules weights out.

can't help but feel you are just trying to rub your still obviously great figure in my fat old face.

Therefore I won't share my weight loss advice with you I'm afraid

hollin, there's no body pump but there's a kettlebells class. I heard the music of that one and thought it might be fun with music to motivate me. There were only 3 people in the class though so I don't know if it will continue.
There aren't many options in my local leisure centre and while in theory I could go elsewhere as well as I'm 'pay as you go', it's unlikely I'll go regularly anywhere more than 15 minutes' walk away.
