AIBU to think pandas are evil?

The creepy little piggy-eyes.
The useless, bloated bodies.
The weird markings.

their inefficient digestive system which means they have to spend almost all of their awake time eating a low nutritional food.
They can only mate about once a year, and are so out of practice they can't remember how to do it. Basically, they are nature's evolutionary mistake.

Now, polar bears - beautiful, yet highly efficient killers. As a result of human activities, they are losing their habitats. We should work to save their world.

But the creepy pandas? No, I can't see the love for them.

Pandas benefit from being Chinese. Plenty of money in China to keep them from extinction.

TheSultanofPingu · 06/02/2016 14:47

Yabu

Do you think all Pandas are evil, or just some?
There may be a couple of evil Pandas around. I would say three at the most.

NerrSnerr · 06/02/2016 15:21

I love pandas. I bet they give great hugs.

SalemSaberhagen · 06/02/2016 19:45

Why is nobody amazed by my panda newborn picture WHY WHY

MadameDePompom · 06/02/2016 19:48

Salem I would be amazed but I saw a documentary last week that got there first. There was a poor panda in labour for days. She was in awful agony and when baby finally popped out I could not believe that it was no bigger than a panda poo!

SalemSaberhagen · 06/02/2016 19:50

That was the same panda and newborn baby from the documentary! I watched it and was amazed!

MadameDePompom · 06/02/2016 19:54

Ahhhhh. It was a bit nerve wrecking wasn't it? I was worried they wouldn't make it!

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/02/2016 20:06

It's not the Hunger Games. We can keep polar bears and pandas.

Salem I have fallen off my chair with wonder. I will be telling many people (because I hang out with 5 yo kids a lot).

PortBlacksandIsOutOfQuay · 06/02/2016 20:15

Pandas aren't real. They are people dressed in panda suits. Small pandas are toddlers dressed in panda suits.

HemanOrSheRa · 06/02/2016 20:21

Sorry Salem I think we posted on the thread at the same time. To be honest the Panda Hatred shocked me to my core. I had to leave. I've had time to recover and now I can look at your lovely photo and the cute video clips.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 06/02/2016 20:25

Pandas are gorgeous and OMG baby pandas are toooooo cuuuuute for words.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 06/02/2016 20:26

I saw the video of the sneezing panda. Squeeeeeeeeee. I want him.

falada · 06/02/2016 20:47

catphrase

"Red krill is a great example of humans idiocy"

what does this ^^ mean? I've had a google but can't find anything controversial?

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 06/02/2016 20:53

pandas are stupid, I am with Dixie

so stupid they do not even remember they are supposed to be carnivores, and so stupid they eat bits of stick instead of the people who keep them confined in Zoos.

they deserve to die

I am also not very keen on dolphins. ...if they are that intelligent how come they keep ravelling themselves in all those fishing nets.

MammaTJ · 06/02/2016 21:02

You could be right!

Red krill is the diet of many sea creatures (whales being one). It is in decline, we have now decided we want it so have huge massive ships that take tons and tons of the stuff out the food chain.

If hughs fish fight about it is still available on all4 /4od do watch it, it was shocking.

That description sounds just like my husband. But I'm rather fond of him.^^
^
That's^ an excellent argument. But it makes me wonder if my DS is also an evolutionary mistake.

The panda in the snow last week was what got me thinking. Yes, it was cute - but all animals playing in snow are cute. I also watched some videos of pandas with their cubs, and really they don't seem to make good parents. Mostly they ignore the cub (in favour of eating, naturally) occasionally hauling it somewhere by whatever body part they can get hold of.

I think pandas are cute but bloody useless....

If they do actually manage to mate...they then usually give birth to twins and ignore one baby and care for the other. Which means in the wild the twin would usually die

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 06/02/2016 21:16

YABU. Octopuses are evil

CruCru · 08/02/2016 14:28

Octopuses are not evil...they are just very well adapted to their surroundings.

Guinea Pigs are horrible.

SweetieDrops · 08/02/2016 14:32

I remember seeing the panda documentary and thinking "it took her 3 days to give birth to that" Confused.

If it's really twice the size of a normal one though I suppose the equivalent would be a 14lb human newborn. Poor panda mother.

NeedACleverNN · 08/02/2016 14:32

Guinea Pigs are horrible

I have two and I still agree with that Grin pissing and pooping machines the pair of them. I can't go within 10 feet of their cage without wheeeeeeeeek cos apparently even through I've fed them that morning they are starving by 2 pm. Little furry bastards Angry still make me laugh though

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 08/02/2016 14:43

I love pandas

apparently they know that humans will take care of them, there have been many reports of poorly pandas wondering into villages without fear its their way they are asking for help Smile usually they will stay away from humans

I am amazed how tiny their babies are

sloths are a but creepy

NatashaBolkonskaya · 08/02/2016 17:06

Evil? Useless? Shock

I think they're actually very

Talcumsoul · 08/02/2016 18:34

Ok so I've got a panda. It's defrosting as I type. My question is:
Apple sauce or mint sauce?
