Bollocks that you have had more than 2 people message you.

And bollocks that you have had another member join you and they're keeping it secret. And bollocks you're so busy.

Because #lifestyletribe/ #Juiceplus

#BOLLOCKS

Ah man, I was sent a friend request recently by a woman I was at school with, and I went to snoop on her page and she was a FL bot so I ignored it. Almost regret it now.

Love the eyeshadow police woman.

Shocked at the MLM bot filming herself driving along the motorway! You should report that to the DVLA!

nana and others who think their FL /JP etc seller is "very successful" - think again!

It's all smoke and mirrors!!!! They want to make you believe they are successful as the goal is not really to sell products but to recruit people to their team - ie to "sell" their "lifestyle"
Very very few (less than 1%) make any money. From mine, and many others, knowledge, they create the impression that the business is making them successful by:

  • financing a lifestyle through loans/ credit cards/blowing their savings
  • wealthy supporters e.g my family member claimed to be paying for glamorous holidays through her forever job but actually it was her parents. Similarly there was one claiming her business enabled her to move out and work from the French Riviera. In reality it became clear that her parents own the house out there! Pretty standard for the "successful" bots
  • creative editing / posing with a fancy car pretending it is theirs

-claiming to have "bought" a castle from their Forever business when it is clear from a quick internet search that they are in fact renting it

There's only one MLM to follow, mumsnets very own ....

dangerabbit I know, it's astonishing isn't it! She was basically slating people who didn't "respect their bodies' and this was deduced by the fact she was in a queue where people bought a sandwich, some crisps and a fizzy drink. Obviously, she had no idea what they ate at all other times, and I doubt that they all looked as grotesquely unhealthy as she claimed. I think this was actually on the FB page rather than from their (it's a lesbian couple) JP promoting page. They are forever adding how 'anyone can do this' to their 'events' and things, which actually says to me that it's not remotely hard or difficult and hence not worth paying stupid amounts of money for some alleged expertise.

My jp bot claims her magic beans can cure depression, given that they can stop brain inflammation & that's the cause of depression. I was furious about it, she's becoming dangerous now (not just comically pathetic) so I challenged her on the science. Funnily enough she gave a non-answer which I think her husband wrote & neither of them would make eye contact with me at school that day.

My JP bot is a FT teacher and I worry that she'll leave to do JP full time because peddling shite capsules, that are so much better than actual fruit & veg, is just so very empowering.

Agree with throwingpebbles SIL is a Younique bot and the FB onslaught is amazing. Fortunately DB has a very highly paid job so for SIL it is just a hobby.

I do humour myself by looking at the amount of likes there are on the comments and videos and low and behold it is the same old people (her DM and DMs friends). My DH has unfollowed her on FB as he was so pissed off by the volume of FB posts she made. I am convinced that she truly believes she will be an international business woman - guess what I received for Christmas despite very gently saying to DB I am more than happy with the products as they suit my very, very sensitive skin (my skin is not that sensitive)

My forever living bot got a dvt on the 6 hour coach trip back from an amazing inspiring FL weekend in Newcastle and ended up in hospital. Since then she has gone very quiet about it on fb.

Hi all I'm not very up on all the lingo around this topic. But a woman in a support role at dd's school had my mobile number in a school capacity and then started using it to text and and invite me to her forever living parties. I literally don't know her from Adam so I ignored the texts but then I bumped into her in the street and she asked me if i was coming to which I kind of apologised as I felt put on the spot. I subsequently googled forever living and was glad i dodged that going to her "party". But do people think it's wrong she used my number in that way? Nothing to do with school or dd. Should I let someone in school know what she's up to or live and let live?

baby I think the school would be furious to find she was contacting you like that. I think you should definitely alert them

Thanks throwing. Glad to know your view. I wasn't sure if I was over reacting but it did make me feel uncomfortable. I think I will leave it as it's died down but if she tries to message me again about any "health product parties"I may let the school know. Thinking about it in a wider context possibly some people who get sucked into selling this stuff are a bit naive? Hopefully she's seen the light by now and ditched that project anyway.

My God, I knew FL was a scam, but had no idea just how bad they are. How on earth is what they do legal?

handsome I think how they operate, at best, sits on the very fringes of legality. And let's not even talk about ethics!

Babymama I would still let school know. That's outrageous (and in breach of confidentiality) to use school information like this. The HT would most definitely want to know. She may not be contacting you now, but she could be targeting other people.

Legally I think she'd lose her job, misusing personal data like that. Totally agree that the head should be informed - I suspect they'd also be in for a bollocking for not ensuring staff had adequate data protection training (which would be party woman's only defence). I'd rather the head got the heads up first.

Babymamamama · 09/02/2016 19:26

It's a tricky one. I agree in principle that it's not on. But iuckily it hasn't caused me any real distress. So I certainly wouldn't want any heads to roll for it. Right I've also got this other woman I met years ago at a mother and baby group who keeps messaging me about this juice plus stuff. I'm just ignoring and hoping she also gets the message. I remember back in the 80s people used to have jewellery or make up parties selling tacky dynasty style stuff. My mum used to get targeted then. This must be the nowadays equivalent: aloe Vera and vitamins.

Thats a breach of the Data Protection Act. Please, tell the school. Its not about live and let live or not getting people into trouble.
She shouldnt be doing that.
