Bollocks that you have had more than 2 people message you.

And bollocks that you have had another member join you and they're keeping it secret. And bollocks you're so busy.

Because #lifestyletribe/ #Juiceplus

#BOLLOCKS

DB was telling me last week that SIL had been messaged on facebook by someone she vaguely knows about an 'exciting business opportunity'. I said "it's not that Forever Living shite is it?". He laughed and told me he knew that I'd know all about it because when he Googled it, there were LOADS of links to Mumsnet saying to stay away from FL 😁

I have a Forever Living consultant on my FB friends list. She is a lovely person but her constant statuses and captions about FL and her 'fantastic lifestyle' do make me laugh!

She has tried a couple of times to recruit me but I declined (obvs)

Oh, God, I didn't know Younique was one of those things too (not on FB). I took in a delivery from them for my next door neighbour yesterday. Looks like I'm going to be out a lot if I see her coming down the path.

I have a friend who has converted to JuicePlus, I don't know her anymore. She told emphatically me that it's "impossible" to get all your nutrients from fruit and vegetables, and that you "need to start caring about yourself and your family."

So basically: not drinking expensive juice crap = hating my family.

I know emotional manipulation is a sales technique, but surely that's just a shade too far! She made it sound like I forcefeed my kids cereal at every meal. We have a weekly organic vege box for god's sake!!!

I knew I should have joined Facebook... I think I'm the only person who doesn't have my own bot to laugh at... #bossybabe

I've got bloody loads of the bots on my newsfeed. Youniqee, forever living and juice plus. My very close real life friend did juice plus, she said she was totally sucked I by outright lies! The woman who recruited my friend claimed to have bought a £250,000 house from Juice plus money and was always posting photos of expensive new bags and shoes (probably from the fitting room at the shop)

I don't know if it's similar but I lost a good friend to 'landmark' she literally changed overnight and went all evangelical over recruiting me. When it was obvious I wasn't interested she dumped me.

Fucking weird.

It's always the thick ones who get sucked into it...suddenly, they talk like they are qualified dietitians and fitness experts. I've one friend at the moment who is on a holiday of a lifetime and boasting about how she's able to manage her business from the beach Hmm there are constant "message me!" status updates.

Also the science behind JP in particular is hilarious. 26 fruit and veg in one capsule- "the only thing removed is the water- all the goodness and nutrients remain"! ...always gives me a big LOL

That video !!!

She was in labour, she had a section, she only worked from home, she only travelled the county, she only spent time with the kids, she ditched the kids

What????????

My DP's niece is a very nice young girl but she has been sucked into this crap - I think she is doing Juice Plus. I had to hide her on FB. I will hold my tongue and not tell her what I really think, but I think she should know at the same time.

Her inbox is hopping too!

I have a friend Ive not seen for years on my FB list, all her posts are titled "Mumpreneur". She's a nurse and apparently this is now the year she is going to leave her job and its all down to "Paycation", and if everybody had sense they would join too and get off the treadmill, hamsterwheel etc. Apparently shes earned so much after the last 3 years she can now spread her wings and fly.... I think Paycation is a travel thing but Ive never taken much notice of the info. I hate how some people are so evangelical about this kind of thing to the point its their only line of conversation and they stop or forget to talk to you unless you're a willing mug candidate for whatever MLM they're pushing

My friends ate hopeless they provide no entertainment. FL one lasted 2 weeks and packed it in. Younique one packed it in after 6 weeks and the current Arbonne one just posts about items to buy. She's not trying to recruit or go on about how life changing it is.

I feel quite cheated

Oh I thought this was going to be Forever Living! Grin

A new one appeared on my newsfeed today - Traffic Monsoon. The lady went to a presentation near Heathrow yesterday and there were people there making in excess of $1000 a day (yes, $$s), just for spending 10 minutes each day watching adverts online. And one ex policeman is now making $5000 a day.
It's not a scam, it's not a pyramid scheme - it's a life changer. Apparently.

Yep. Got too many of these on my newsfeed that a I must be moving in the wrong (gulliable) social circles. I can almost play MLM Bingo with it - the countdown, the announcement, the crazy inbox and my favourate, the picture of them on a sunny day in the garden working in their 'office'. Then the desperation seeps into the posts.

I even had one of the fuckers join aFB support group for a serious illness that I'm part of to try and flog their their crap Angry

Thank you to this thread for giving me the nudge I needed to unfriend my Juice Plus "Friend"... I'd already blocked her, but somehow it was still annoying me just knowing her spambot posts were still out there.
BTW: she claims to be down to 8 stone now thanks to the wonders of Juice Plus. I see her on the school run and she's 10 stone if she's an ounce. Just saying.
