To think, Well that serves me right for being smug

I got my winter energy bill to day which was about £120 less than last year. I thought this was largely down to my £30 heated throw purchase from aldi meaning I haven't been putting the heating on in the day when the kids are at school (I work from home). I've just moved said throw (still plugged in) and something went 'pop' with a blue flash near the heater control, and now it won't turn on.

I'm going to be cold 'at work' tomorrow Sad

I have the heated throw from Amazon. It's heavenly!
DD2 also has one, I'm saving for dd1 and then bugger the heating, we'll use these!

I wanted to swap something at Lidl and couldn't bothered to queue up, so I just accosted a random worker in the aisles, who took the box off me, went out the back and brought me a new one without checking the receipt or anything! I think the business models of these places are based on doing whatever is quickest and therefore cheapest.

And I know an area manager for Aldi and he said they'll exchange or replace anything, because they just don't want any hassle.

I need one of these.

I wouldn't buy anything electrical from Aldi. If you go on the UK product recalls website they are among the biggest offenders.

Good Luck with Aldi. I've always had very good service from them, including refunds...

I have a 4ft by 5ft throw which is sort of suede tiger print on one side (very soft) and thick fake fur pile on the other (extremely soft). I've cut two arm holes in it and wander round in it indoors. It's lovely. But I have startled the neighbours a few times when I'm doing garden inspection!

Pipistrella · 04/02/2016 11:34

That's not the same website - I've tried in vain to find the one I was looking through, but I can't.

Sorry.
