When will I learn? Always think it's a good idea to go. It's always on a weekend. Heaving. Massive queues. Toddler refusing to sit in trolley. Argue with DH. Everyone is miserable. Don't buy much but still spend £100. WIBU to say NEVER again, then forget how awful it is in 6 months and go again.

they should have lawyers on the exit offering divorce advice.... they would make a killing. OH is a relationship counsellor and often wonders whether the IKEA exit would be a good place to tout for business!

Many years ago when there were not so many Ikeas DM and I decided to go to the Birmingham one, about 90 mins drive. I had been 2 or 3 times in the previous year and so had DM. We could not find it. We stopped and asked several people who didn't seem to know what on earth we were talking about so we had a lovely pub lunch and drove home Grin

Ikea is OH's favourite day out. I'm still recovering from the last visit in December. There has been nightmares and waking up in cold sweats involved.
