To not understand why women do this?

Tomboyinatutu · 21/01/2016 10:27

Why do alot of pregnant women feel the need to take pictures of their bump in their underwear? Or just in their pants holding their boobs with one arm? I don't get it! You can still see the bump if you are wearing trousers. I am pregnant myself, with my third and have never felt the need to do it so I just don't get why some women do it and then put them on the web for any tom dick and harry to look at?

I have boudoir shots on mine, sorry! I use my personal profile for photography/modelling stuff. People don't like it I can restrict their viewing or they can unfollow

SirChenjin · 23/01/2016 11:50

Don't apologise to me - apologise to the people who are faced with you in your knickers for no good reason Grin

Why do you use FB for professional purposes? Confused

hollinhurst84 · 23/01/2016 12:00

Easy way to connect and 99% of the industry does. It's a great photo sharing, plus in a lot of groups, events can be arranged etc etc
Maybe boudoir is the wrong word. It's less lying across a bed and more not arty... I can't think of the word. I don't tend to do typical boudoir stuff
Underwear is the same as a pic of me wearing a bikini on the beach

SirChenjin · 24/01/2016 10:22

Yeah, sounds like boudoir is the wrong word.

absolutelynotfabulous · 24/01/2016 10:31

What the heck are "post detox pants" (shudders). Shock

MayFayner · 24/01/2016 10:38

absolutely Grin

I read it as a photo taken in pants, post-detox.

absolutelynotfabulous · 24/01/2016 12:19

Thanks May.

Phew! I thought "post detox pants" may be something quite different. And rather horrible, involving bodily waste, before and after "detox". Shock.

hollinhurst84 · 24/01/2016 12:36

And after posting in this thread yesterday, I got booked for a boudoir shoot Grin
Karma?!

absolutelynotfabulous · 24/01/2016 13:06

I think I must be in a parallel universe sometimes....a boudoir shoot?

Is this a "thing" now?

hollinhurst84 · 24/01/2016 13:17

Sort of. Well photographer has used that as description. It's a set with a roll top bath, bed etc

absolutelynotfabulous · 24/01/2016 13:25

So a modelling thing then? (nosy)

hollinhurst84 · 24/01/2016 13:27

Yes Smile exactly (I'm nosy too) Grin

absolutelynotfabulous · 24/01/2016 13:32

Is there a bump involved (nosier still)..

hollinhurst84 · 24/01/2016 13:33

Haha no, most definitely not! Unless you count flabby bits

Shirkingfromhome · 24/01/2016 14:08

Having boudoir shots on Facebook for work and bookings is one thing. Marjorie from number 84 having a one off photo shoot and plastering them all over Facebook is another. Self-confidence, great; oversharing, not so!

SirChenjin · 24/01/2016 14:15

Agree Shirking. If posing in your knickers for a job floats your boat then fine - but for the love of all gods, please don't inflict them on your friends and relatives on your general FB account. There is such a thing as over-sharing, and that counts as such.

hollinhurst84 · 24/01/2016 14:32

No relatives on there. Friends who like seeing shoot pics so no issues there, they tend to get the most comments out of all my pics

SirChenjin · 24/01/2016 14:36
Grin

Different strokes and all that, I guess.

hollinhurst84 · 24/01/2016 14:41

There's not many underwear pics to be fair, a lot of dresses/fashion/head shots
When I do post an underwear pic everyone bloody comments!
More this kind of stuff, a bit more edgy
