I don't understand why channel 4 have given these low lives a platform to preach their hate!
I'm not sure how many of you watched the jihadis next door but wow I am speechless, these scum are out on Oxford street and are trying to entice young people to join their vile religion. Thank god that most of them have had their passports taken off them but how many like him are there across the country, very scary!

I watched that program last night with my heads in my hands. They were next level brainwashed nutters. As a muslim I was disgusted!
And can I say they don't represent our "vile" religion at all I literally said the whole way through, 'what the fuck'. None of them between them had a braincell to blow their own arse out, so why anyone would heed what they say as serious is beyond me.

MsJamieFraser · 20/01/2016 08:12

I'm not specifically just talking about this programme fidel1ne I actually see this a lot on MN, where people being Muslim is described as their whole identity.

MsJamieFraser · 20/01/2016 08:14

thewooden - il watch it tonight.

fidel1ne · 20/01/2016 08:16

Oh okay. Well for my money, the programme makers dodged that mistake by a mile. Look at the title.

Jux · 20/01/2016 08:53

I didn't see it, but I agree with fidel1ne on most of her points.

I do think that removing their passports is the right thing to do, but only because I would be putting them all on a plane to Syria and keeping them out of Europe. On the other hand, I can see problems with that 'solution' too; in many ways it is better to have them here where they can be kept an eye on.

Katenka · 20/01/2016 08:56

I disagree. I have only ever seen someone described as 'Muslim' on mn where it's relevant.

Take my post for example

I was worried it would be awful for race relations. My best friend is a Muslim man and always worry about his safety when this sort of thing is on.

Him being Muslim is relevant. I wouldn't be worried about this documentary and the possible shit he would have to deal with because he is British, male, wears nice suits. I worry because he is Muslim and had shit before.

If the thread is about Muslims, like this one is. It's relevant and the thing that is most relevant to this thread.

If it was a thread about something else that wasn't specifically about a documentary on Muslims, I wouldn't mention his religion at all.

TheseBedroomWalls, I don't think LucyBab's post was about all priests, and not about your cousin.

I thought she was talking about people who are abusive scumbags, who pop up in every religion (and non-religious belief system), unashamedly using the tools of that system to get what they want.

LucyBabs · 20/01/2016 23:53

threebedrooms What has your uncle being a good priest got to do with the crimes some priests committed? Did I say every priest is a paedophile?

I grew up a catholic, my family are Catholic I know a lot of what went on in the church.
Do you think it was a coincidence that so many priests were paedophiles? Do you not think these perverts realised the access they would have to vulnerable children and so becoming a priest was a great cover?

LucyBabs · 20/01/2016 23:54

Thanks pausing that was exactly my point. threebedrooms sorry your cousin is a priest not your uncle

TheseBedroomWalls · 21/01/2016 22:20

Lucy you didn't exactly make it clear you were talking about a FEW, did you?

Of course SOME priests are paedophiles, but that is the evil that MEN do. My cousin is a truly wonderful human being, yet because of people like you and your stupid remarks, he is thought of as less than he is.

LucyBabs · 21/01/2016 22:55

And yet again you are completely missing the point threebedrooms
It has absolutely nothing to do with to your cousin being a wonderful human being. There were and probably still are paedophiles in the Catholic church. I have no idea why you are taking it personally Confused

jonathan01n · 07/06/2017 01:42

Now one of the people involved in this documentary is involved in a terrorist attack now. Angry

BeeThirtythree · 07/06/2017 01:58

As a television station...Of course now is the perfect time to get viewers in. They are filming what people talk about/are repulsed or fascinated with, capturing the zietgeist .
YABU in calling the religion vile, Islam is not vile, as demonstrated by the majority of over 1.6 billion Muslims. The interpretation of the religion these vile idiots offer is not what the majority of Muslims believe.
If a child hears/experiences someone in the street/online/on MN calling their religion vile, criticising every aspect of it and then meets these idiots, who are 'accepting and showing how the child can fight back' then the child is more likely to be influenced by this gang.
Se these idiots for what they are, recognise those Muslims who condemn this vitriol spouting jihadi wannabe group!

BeeThirtythree · 07/06/2017 02:07

The Jihadi next door was shown in 2016 originally, one of the attackers of the recent attack is featured in it...police have requested no footage from channel 4 as yet, authorities were alerted but no action taken against this flag bearing wannabe!
How did these VILE people evade further questioning? They destroyed many lives that the authorities could have prevented!
