Putting a bull in a feild with a public footpath isnt very sportsperson like

I spend time planning a circular route so that my walks are interesting. 90% of the way through there is a feild with a bull, there is a sign up saying "caution bull in field", well thanks!

I'm going to try to do it but it is annoying. Its bad enough a field of cows who start to run towards you, that scares me shirtless.

If you don't hear from me again Sad

I think Davina had a point. Weeing on steps is not the same as weeing behind a tree. The countryside is full of animals who excrete. If you must poo then an attempt should be made to bury it or pick up in a bag like dog owners do.

I really need to see these steps to judge. I'm not sure many people would do it in such a small place to make much difference. I think people get possessive over their land even though it has a public footpath through it.

Looks like the train track borders her estate and she lives behind the station. Also looks like this footpath is no where near any of her extensive buildings. With such a big estate and the uk weather can't see it as a huge deal tbh.

Have you pissed on the public footpath tough?

Also where her house is there are no built up areas, its the opposite side to the town. So can't think many people at all would use it as a cut through. Probably just a ploy to try and get footpaths taken away. Fishy.

Good for you, taking a stance against misogyny.

She's either making it up to get the footpath closed or she's pissed off locals who are going out of their way to piss on her.

Well I'm a bit mystified as to why my post was deleted? What did I say? MN haven't seen fit to tell me. Confused

Well thanks Tough Grin

I think I may have insinuated that Lord-thingy was a gf, which is was, so no problem there. And I sympathised with Poppy about the sheep.

Don't know. Oh well.

ABetaDad1 · 13/01/2016 11:06

My saw a man walking across his field who was allowing his dog to chase my father's pregnant flock of sheep. He walked over to the man and told him if he ever saw it doing it again he would shoot it.

The man was indignant but he never walked on my father's land again.

Fair warning then shoot on sight.

Farmers have shotguns for pest control and sport. Like anyone with the relevant background checks and a safe place to store a shotgun they can quite legally own them. They are not rifles which come under a far stricter firearm control law.

I work in an industry related to farming and went out to visit a farmer this week. I asked him about rights of way. He had one single field without one.

He had sheep and cattle (no bull), but simply can't keep the cattle confined to the one field
