AIBU to get some wine back from this woman I know

A fellow mum has been offering lifts to my DD.

She is normally very nice, classy, and pleasant.

I don't think she uses this site.

I dropped by with a bottle of Prosecco for her as a thank you (the crate from which it came was destined for my husbands bosses's Xmas party).

I had taken the bottle out of the crate and was ready to present that to her.

She lurched up to the door, reeking of booze, yelled "gissa that my luverly PARTY TIME YEAH BABY"

She then patted her husbands arse, pulled the whole crate from my arms and ran/staggered off with a wink.

Should I ask for it back or should I just let it go?

'Party time, yeah baby' - this is bouncing around my skull on a loop now accompanied by sniggering the cat thinks i've finally lost all my marbles.

Don't remember ever laughing so much at this hour :) :)

sounds like you have enough whine to go around for everyone

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 02/01/2016 07:45

OP, I imagine she has now sobered up and is feeling very embarrassed. She's probably got some arse of a husband who's told her off for nicking all your wine.

But really, given that you went round there in your car, why on earth did you take the whole crate in?

Cocacolaandchocolate · 02/01/2016 07:57

So your husband turned up at his work party without the wine?

That's his promotion gone... he'll be gradually eased out, in favour of the spotty youth who spent his bonus on the small vineyard English sparkling at £25 a bottle.

Within a year you'll be the main wage earner while your DH tramps the wet streets, begging for work (Yozzer Hughes style). Eventually you will lose all respect for him and LTB.

I hope she's proud of herself.
