i just don't get it!

it actually makes me abit sad, signifying the end of Christmas.

Honestly what is it about the forced jollity? Its another year -whoopie.

we make resolutions we know we wont stick to and there is mass hysteria at midnight. Then nothing actually happens Hmm

Im not a grinch. i am a bit of a home body but quite happy for there to be a party if there is. a reason for it.

Live at the Apollo (on telly) as good
I wonder what's on next? Maybe they should have scheduled the comedy up til midnight?
I guess there'll be TV fireworks soon to compete with the real ones outside the door Xmas Smile

We're Americans of Scottish ancestry. We have a proper (well as proper as we can make it here in Florida) Hogmanay celebration. I love it. Grandchildren are visiting and will be staying up for the bells. Much better than Christmas. Smile

I think because I'm Scottish, Hogmanay is something that has always been important to me, it's probably a bigger deal for us than Christmas! I love all the wee traditions that come with celebrating it such as first footing, steak pie for dinner, and making sure the house is spotless to see in the bells!

We has pyjamas, food and a film. It was nice. But I still got into bed and cried. I hate new year with a passion and get terribly depressed in Jan. Roll on February.
