I have a fridge full of THE MOST DELICIOUS deli items for transportation to my lovely friend's house tomorrow. It is all my favourite things. Salamis, cheeses, olives, smoked salmon.

Just one of each thing RIGHT NOW would be ok, yeah?

Just make sure no one else in your house had the same plan. Found out recently that me and two of my housemates were all dipping into housemate #4's digestive biscuit stash at uni... Not so stealthy!

NotTheSpiceOfLife · 30/12/2015 19:12

Yeah thanks, I just had to go to the shop and buy Brie and salami Hmm

Coldlightofday · 30/12/2015 19:16

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 30/12/2015 19:32

I did. I say most things like Leslie Philips if I can

Andrewofgg · 30/12/2015 19:34

Is it true that there are people in the world who don't like Brie?

How?

Coldlightofday · 30/12/2015 19:36

I have no idea Andrew

NotTheSpiceOfLife · 30/12/2015 19:41

Guess what else I got? Only fucking TUC CHEESE SANDWICH

AnthonyBlanche · 30/12/2015 19:42

Cold I'm a bit worried that you could be made unwell if any of the test items are defective. It would be such a shame if you were ill and couldn't make it to your friends party . At great personal sacrifice I would be willing to test the food for you - just have it couriered over and I will get stuck into testing and let you know if It is fit for human consumption.

Coldlightofday · 30/12/2015 19:45

Thanks Anthony you're a saint. You might want to get a move in though...

I bought tuc (not the sandwich ones which are joined together with the Devils knob cheese).

Dd2 ate the lot before I even noticed they were open.

😕

thelaundryfairy · 30/12/2015 19:48

You definitely should.

I wouldn´t have the willpower to stop at one, though, and would end up eating the whole lot, feeling sick and guilty, then taking my friends a bag of Twiglets from the petrol station instead. Xmas Blush

Goingtobeawesome · 30/12/2015 19:51

I can confirm kettles lightly salted are almost safe for consumption.

Coldlightofday · 30/12/2015 19:53

But Going what about the ones at the bottom

OP posts:
Hassled · 30/12/2015 19:54

I can confirm that large boxes of Ritz crackers are safe to eat - even the ones at the bottom of the box.

Goingtobeawesome · 30/12/2015 19:57

How do you know there are some crisps left at the bottom of the bag?!!

Ememem84 · 30/12/2015 19:57

You're obviously going to unpack the food and drape it lovingly over an artisanally made wooden board for serving aren't you...? If so, then friend will never know.

unless you're my friend whose bringing antipasti and things to the party tomorrow

but if you are my friend this is why we're friends

Ememem84 · 30/12/2015 19:57

I've also confirmed that twiglets (in the tub) are safe. All of them.

AnthonyBlanche · 30/12/2015 20:00

Cold I've booked the courier, should be with you in the next ten minutes, so if you could have everything packed and ready to go that would be really helpful. No need for a box or anything, an old tesco bag for life will do and will be useful for returning the empty greaseproof papers any food that's safe to eat.
