A copy of 'Gut - the body's most underrated organ' by guilia Enders. Present from my uni student DD. It was on my list.

I've nearly finished it already! It's so interesting.

We don't exchange gifts with adults in my family, but my MIL made me an apron and a matching one for our five year old daughter. I love it!

I also bought myself an Erin Condren planner, which I love. :)

laplumeofmyaunt · 27/12/2015 18:57

Digital radio, Molly Keane novels and favourite perfume from DH, Booker shortlist and Sanctuary bath stuff from M&D and curry cookery basket from DSis, with cookery books, spices etc.

All lovely, and perfect for me. Have been horrified at all anti-toiletries threads on here - I love soaps and stuff at Christmas. Even B&H Grin

LookingForwardto2016 · 27/12/2015 18:58

Some Nina Ricci perfume. It smells divine!

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 27/12/2015 19:14

My dad keeps trying to buy Gut for me! It's not that I'm not interested per se, more that I find I have limited time for non-fiction.

My favourite present was my new slippers.

AllTheChefs · 27/12/2015 19:18

I was happy with all my presents. I may be easily pleased but the little things like the Simon's Cat diary were the ones I liked a lot.

Bexicles · 27/12/2015 19:18

My DS bought me a new umbrella as I always use his to do the school run! I got a beautiful silver moon pendant from my dsis, I love it!

ChristmasZombie · 27/12/2015 19:22

MIL gave me £50 and promised to have both DDs for a day so I can go sales shopping!

And DH got me an Elsa costume to match DD1's! Very silly, but seeing her little face when I walked into her bedroom dressed as Elsa was priceless!

LumelaMme · 27/12/2015 19:25

My youngest DD organised me a Christmas stocking, entirely off her own bat - made it, stocked it, wrapped the contents. There was a sheep tea towel in there I had admired months ago. I was incredibly touched.

DH got my a cashmere cardy (colour chosen by DC3) which is lovely.

ollieplimsoles · 27/12/2015 19:26

Greydog- what a gift!

My most treasured gift this year was two sleepsuits for DD from Dsis, one has the Starfleet Academy logo on it and another has the 'Bazinga' emblem, so thoughtful! :D

HooseRice · 27/12/2015 19:27

I got sheepskin slippers (ugg a likes but far superior to uggs imo) from my DDs. I love them so much I've had them on since getting them and I wore them in the car for a 3 hr drive today (I wasn't driving)

A bell tent!

flowery · 27/12/2015 20:32

DH bought me a new violin to replace the one I had borrowed for the last 25 years from my brother (who wasn't using it and only just realised I had it )

I sobbed! Blush

Whatsername24 · 27/12/2015 20:33

A selection of Lush Karma from my sister and her boyfriend - perfume, cream, bath melts and soap. My absolute favourite perfume.

EponasWildDaughter · 27/12/2015 20:50

Beautiful eternity ring from DH :)

Was totally unexpected. He'd said not to spend much this year so i just bought him a t-shirt! Blush

Cupcakes2014 · 27/12/2015 22:35

My boys had made some clay decorations and painted them with my Mil. They had even wrapped them, their faces when I opened them were priceless they were so happy! So thoughtfull of the Mil as well.

BatsUpMyNightie · 27/12/2015 22:49

What a nice thread in the light of the eleventy million moany threads about disappointment/resentment/perceived lack of thought and so on!

DH got me a Dior lipstick in a shade very close to my favourite one that the bastards discontinued some years ago. He'd done a load of internet research and came up with this colour. I am so touched by this - and the lovely handbag, new purse, sunglasses and tickets to visit my niece in France later this year from DS. I couldn't be happier Xmas Smile

Notso · 27/12/2015 23:08

A light box with letters. Love it.

Also a turntable for cake decorating. No more balancing cakes precariously on an upturned mixing bowl.

lougle · 27/12/2015 23:23

An Instant Pot Duo 60. It's an electric pressure/multi cooker.

OfficeGirl1969 · 27/12/2015 23:40

The Haynes Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide and a 4x4 off road driving experience. Ridiculously excited by the latter!

Catzpyjamas · 27/12/2015 23:46

Snoopy from Build a Bear, mainly because I can picture DH on his lunch break, queued up with lots of small DCs, holding the unfilled dog and being asked to kiss a heart to put in him Xmas Grin.

WyrdByrd · 27/12/2015 23:54

Xmas Grin catz

That's what we got DH from DD - he's collected Snoopy memorabilia for years.

Have you seen the film yet?

Catzpyjamas · 28/12/2015 00:00

We're going to see it tomorrow Xmas Smile. I love Snoopy!

My favourite Christmas present is..
Boogers · 28/12/2015 00:00

A pendant from DH with two hearts intertwined with our DC's names engraved on each heart. The chain it came on is too short but the pendant fits beautifully on my late mother's silver necklace and it's now the most precious thing I own! Smile

WyrdByrd · 28/12/2015 00:16

We have about 4 tea chests of Snoopy gubbins in the loft...and a huge cuddly one that's about 3ft high sitting down (my engagement present to DH). All three of us have gold Snoopy pendants. Don't wear them much these days but I did get mine out of retirement when we went to see the film on Christmas Eve.

The film is very sweet & in keeping with the old ones - hope you enjoy it!
