To be a bit jealous of other people's Christmas days?!

Ours was just a bit dull. Nice lunch round parents and a game of monopoly, but judging by everyone else on FB they all seem to have a riot!

We've only got immediate family (me, DH, DPs and nan) and had a few glasses of wine but no one is the 'get pissed' sort so feel a bit of a lush by keeping drinking. It was just a bit dull and was glad when it was late enough to take myself off to bed!

Anyone else have a slightly dull day?! Definitely considering going away next year!

This is why I deactivated FB as well. Your day sounded great BTW. Dull is peaceful, better than drama.

I think yabu your Christmas sounds great. I was listening to someone at work waffling on about the 20 for Christmas and how all her kids and their partners always came to her. Er ok..... I predict a row in a couple of years there Wink. I also think it's good that none of my family drink that much I'm a bit of a lush and it keeps me in check Smile

They say 'don't compare your behind the scenes with everyone else's highlight reel."

That is so wise. Must share that with my social media obsessed teen.

I admit to feeling similar on Xmas day looking at all the fb pics of people with their extended families and friends. It was just us (me, Dp and 4 dc).

I still feel a bit inadequate but I had a word with myself and logged out of fb on Xmas afternoon and haven't been back since.

At least one family who posted lovely pics that I felt jealous of are having an awful time right now so I'm glad to see them having fun but I still felt jealous (which doesn't say anything nice about me)
