Usually I could contain myself & not write a post on here, but that advert has surpassed all xmas ads (including pretentious perfume ads) as the worst xmas ad this year.

It is so embarressing and cheesy

aibu to just want it too stop!?

Yabu Mcdonalds forever! !

Hihohoho1 · 23/12/2015 20:13

I don't actually understand it.

Are they singing to annoy dad to stop at Macs? And do they sing into the drive thru while he's trying to order?

Annoying brats. Wink

Oysterbabe · 23/12/2015 20:16

It reminds me of the start of a drunk driving ad, I keep expecting there to be a horrific accident.

Greydog · 23/12/2015 20:17

Dreadful advert - it's a rush to change channels. And then there's the House of Fraser ad....

scarlets · 23/12/2015 20:17

I agree with Oysterbabe. I thought there was going to be a crash.

Cheby · 23/12/2015 20:20

Oysterbabe that's what my DH said, I agree, can't think of anything else now when I see it.

AlpacaStockingFullOfChocolate · 23/12/2015 20:20

If my dad had driven to a MacDonalds and turned the music down to order, and then my brother and I turned the music up and started singing again then we'd certainly be driven away from MaccyDs without getting our treat!

ghostyslovesheep · 23/12/2015 20:21

nope - worst Christmas add this year is for the Mailbox in Brum - it's SHIT

Goingtobeawesome · 23/12/2015 20:22

I think the point is it is fun to sing and it is fun to have a macdonalds.

I love the little girl singing, so smiley and cute.

Iwanttokillthem · 23/12/2015 20:22

I love it .

I love the cheeky wee girl in the middle singing up at Dad .

I think the idea is that they are singing to cheer themselves up then Dad switches off the music - but only so he can order at the drive through.

JoffreyBaratheon · 23/12/2015 20:23

The woman and one of the children pull real trollfaces. So annoying. If I was the bloke driving the car I'd drive right past McDonalds just to spite them.

Orda1 · 23/12/2015 20:23

The little boy is sooooo cute.

Does anyone know where that is? I can't make out their accents.

Chillyegg · 23/12/2015 20:23

I always think the dad's a miserable shit turning the music of! Then it's also odd how the kids suddenly burst into song whilst he orders? The best bit is the sunny picturesque view of McDonald's, with the happy smiley waving cashier, hanging jovially out of the window. At the end....certainly not the McDonald's I know! It's not McDonald's if there isn't a group of drunk people swaying out the doors, whilst it pisses it down, and a harassed cashier flings your tepid chips at you whilst getting abuse from the man who brought his let snaked in.
...I fancy a mcDonaldsmall now

stuckinamoment · 23/12/2015 20:27

Mailbox in Brum?

I honestly think mcd's wins worst xmas ad, hands down. Sorry, but I find the kids annoying rather than cute

It is an annoying advert, but nothing is worse than the gluten free Latimers advert, so YABU for that reason.

stuckinamoment · 23/12/2015 20:44

yes - the gluten free Latimers advert is very bad, but i still think mcds is even worse

DameMargaretofChalfont · 23/12/2015 20:47

I find it so rude.

That poor McDonalds employee trying to take an order and some twats singing over them

A jobs hard enough at the best of times without people behaving like rude idiots.

Sparklingbrook · 23/12/2015 20:48

I am with what. The Gluten free Latimers and indeed all the stupid Tesco adverts with her off Gavin and Stacey in make me want to put my foot through the TV.

The McDonalds advert is v annoying though. When the child says 'Yesss!' as if going to McD is wildly exciting. Bleufgh.

Best ad for a bit of balance-Coop one with the ice.

BrandNewAndImproved · 23/12/2015 20:49

It doesn't annoy me as much as tesco or house of fraisers.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 23/12/2015 20:50

I like it, mainly because we're like that in the car at the moment so it makes me smile

LittleG69 · 23/12/2015 20:50

The gluten free Latimers give me The Rage. But the McDonald's one....was so sure it was some 'don't drink and drive' thing and was waiting for the car carnage that never came Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 23/12/2015 20:53

YY the McDonalds one is like the opening scenes of Casualty.

Remind me about the House of Fraser one?
