Was randomly watching a C4 show the other night "That's So Last Century".

They have slebs on talking about technology from the 1970s onwards - so things like Walkmans, the first massive mobile phones, BBC computers on which you mainly played Pac-Man - etc.

I thought about recording it for the dc to watchth. Thought they might find it mildly amusing and most of the celebrities were actually showing these gadgets to their young children and part of the interest in the programme was how the kids really had no clue what, for instance, a video cassette was.

Anyhooo, Jimmy Carr's comments were all, without fail, about porn and the internet. Everything was a cheap crappy joke about "cracking one off" and boners and all the other mindless Inbetweeners type comments you could imagine.

So I decided not to record for the dc (shame) but felt especially sorry for the celebs whose children who had participated in the programme. Do they show their sweet little children this show they had been in or not??

Creepy Jimmy Carr wanker.

Quoting his wiki page's list of awards at me has only made me grasp one salient detail... he's not been awarded anything of any significance since 2008. So, whilst that's absolutely fantastic for him, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

My point is this:

  • he's won 10 more national awards than I have; I suspect that also applies to 99% of the UK population.
  • his annual earnings are probably well in excess of what I've earned in my (nearly) 20 years of being employed; again, I suspect that also applies compared to 99% of the UK population.

What makes you think he's "desparately unhappy" now he's no longer "very spoiled and favoured as a child" and in "the big wide world where... he was/is deemed as nothing particularly special. I don't think his ego could cope with it."?

Why exactly can't his ego cope with national awards (whether or not entered in the last 7 years), selling out arenas and raking in multi-millions each year?

Yes, yes, loads of awards and pots of money. Still creepy as fuck though.

he looks like an axe murderer and laughs like one too. His sense of humour is somewhat lacking too.

Despise the beast

There is just something about him that makes my skin crawl. Think its something to do with the fact that he doesn't seem to blink. Euurrgh.

I have never liked him and I am sure he has made nasty remarks about people with LD, his humour doesnt make me laugh I find him vile, his eyes look dead to me.

Hates his 'humour' - nothing funny about rape, abuse and having a go at disability. At all.

Went to see frankie Boyle live once - wasn't my choice and was based purely on what we'd seen in mainstream to. Was the worst night out. Smallish room, and it was all so uncomfortable. Very few people laughing, lots of hat was nervous laughter! it seemed that most people looked like they were in the wrong place and people seemed uncomfortable with what he was saying. He was heckled about it and he picked on people constantly and not in a funny way at all.

Learned our lesson that night and would only ever book to see comedians after doing far more research first!
