To be tired of hearing about being a mummee

One of my colleagues is a mummy.

She invests a great deal in this especially around Christmas. She is very into Elf on the shelf and every day I hear about elf on the shelf. I also hear about her DS and his Christmas and the boring hilarious things he has said and done and ... I'm bored!

Is there a nice way of saying 'wind your neck in, no one cares'?

Most London law firms have a set up where 2 people share an office. Usually someone senior with someone v junior. Realistically, it means you're stuck sat in a room with just one person - if you don't like their habits, it can be a massive pain. Luckily, I have trainees, so they move and are replaced every 6 months.

The current one... oh god. CONSTANT chatter. I have given up asking how her weekend/evening was as I get a 30 min stream of consciousness. Today's gem was a 20 minute blow-by-blow account of her conversation with her mother about her little sister's 18th birthday party. I don't care! I have never met said sister and doubt I ever will. I have also heard a lifetime's worth of detail about her best friend's engagement ring and her boyfriend's promotion at his bank.

Happy to hear basics on these things, but its the constant stream of detail that winds me up!

Oh I do like having an office to myself.

This thread is great. I thought I was the only one that got peed off at it. I have told my friends if I start spamming Facebook with pictures of my boys every move they MUST tell me and give me a slap.

I also hate when people have ugly kids and want you to like pics of their 'beautiful' daughter you feel pressured to like pictures or you are being a bitch.

Anyone else get angered at the adverts targeted at 'mums'? Like the kinder ones.

Make my blood boil. Why can't a man do the washing up? Or the shopping? Why is it still 'mums'? If you don't have kids does that mean you never have to do the laundry? Ffs.

Yes goggle box though can be a fascinating insight into other lives. I shared an office whilst at one of the Magic Circle firms with a member of the global international social elite, think jet setting, Monaco for the weekend for the racing, living in Kensington, dinners with famous politicians. Though felt a real saddo trailing home to Kilburn to my flatmates and going to the local pub
