I can't bloody stand the woman, but I don't think the maleria episode was a cover for anything like a nose job or an eating disorder. I do think it was massively overblown and worst case scenarios played out in the press.

She was actually on an NHS tropical illnesses unit, how would you fake that?

The 'she was hours from death' and 'it was the worst case the doctor had ever seen' is almost certainly tabloid bullshit. She was off the IT unit in four days, flew to LA a fortnight or so later and was out doing promotional work a few weeks after that.

Yes maleria can be fatal, but the majority of cases and (there is one particular strain that is usually fatal) and the rest whilst no cakewalk aren't life threatening generally and can be relatively mild.

Given the short time in ITU and the fact that she was up and 'working' in relatively shortly afterwards, I'd guess that it was tabloid hysteria and a case of worse case scenarios presented as fact.

What is morally dubious is that her PR people didn't come out and clarify the situation or correct the more far fetched rumours and retrospectively used these doomsday scenarios as a way of keeping her in the public eye and garner sympathy for her.

I don't hate her, but don't really like her either. I ve never thought she can sing even in her girls aloud days. The clips from popstars the rivals pretty much show the judges weren't sure about putting her through and didn't think she was great but thought she was stunning so knew she could be marketed well. It must have taken some talent in terms of ambition, drive and skill to make girls aloud as big as they were.

With her solo career, she was lucky, but because by then she was so popular and fancied by so many , it was fairly obvious she was a safe bet. I think she's made some very good decisions, like getting into a relationship with a very famous footballer, hooking up with Simon cowell and with will iam who was the next big thing. She has talent or is surrounded by people with talent for making the right style decisions, being seen and working with the right people but little singing talent.

I can't believe she's on a judging panel of others when most of them can sign so much better than she can. Yet she has to critique them! Rita ora s performance on X factor last night was no comparison to Cheryl's a while ago on singing talent.

I can't believe someone said she is no worse then adele! Adele is an incredibly talented singer, what an insult to her. Her talent alone stands out so she hasn't needed to do all the extra styling, medi pr and dance show techniques that Cheryl does .
