to be annoyed by "could I be pregnant" posts

Before I get going I am in no way being nasty or judgemental here, just find it amusing when people post the "could I be pregnant" posts, then go on to say how they aren't using protection and had unprotected sex blah blah blah, seems pretty obvious to me based on that alone that yes they could be pregnant so instead of wasting their own time asking us why not go to the doctor and get it confirmed? We aren't going to be able to tell them a definate yes or no over a computer are we? Grin

Remember when I first joined wondering what. POAS thread wasConfused
Remember clicking on and seeing posters saying ' oh great I love a good POAS thread'

Couldn't think of anything less interesting unless it's my P and my S ....but I wouldn't bore a bunch of Internet strangers with that.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but what I hate is when women ask whether they could be pregnant, say they are trying to conceive, but that they can't afford a pregnancy test. I think it's really irresponsible to plan a pregnancy when you can't afford that

Perhaps they don't realise how cheap they are, perhaps they are broke because they are hugely over paying on certain bills in the hope that they will be pregnant very soon so they have a financial cushion.

I've just told my kids that no we are not going to buy another play doh set because I've just paid school/carer/therapy bills that cost a fortune and I'm feeling a little stressed about it, stuff like that happens it does not mean you are so destitute you cannot afford a child.

It's a huge site, you don't have to post or even read any you don't want to.
YABU because sometimes people need support or a friendly voice support and encouragement.
You never know a persons entire life, what they have experienced and sometimes somebody just needs a hand holding.

Natalieday1 · 22/11/2015 14:01

This is boring now, if ur such a supportive person maybe u should be a counsellor and help people who want ur help then, instead of commenting on my thread when I have heard the same thing more than once today! Jeez! Angry

I'm annoyed by people who post a question and then get irritated by the responses.

That's what the hide button is for...

Oysterbabe · 22/11/2015 14:05

Natalie when you post on AIBU you must expect some people to say yabu and it's poor form to get shitty about it.

Natalieday1 · 22/11/2015 14:15

I have no problem with different opinions it's the way people voice them that bothers me! There's way of puttin ur point across without it being judgemental!

Oh the irony.

I sympathise with could I be pregnant posters. I do want to type wait a week then do a test. I know that long term TTC can drive you loopy, been there.

TurnWifiOn · 22/11/2015 15:47

When you are trying for a baby and period is late or symptoms are being felt then maybe they are asking for the experience of others?

Sometimes they may already tested, With my DD I tested and tested, only got a positive result five days after my period was due. Now when my period is late I get excited.
