I can't be the only person who thinks that?

OP posts:
Prettyinblue · 14/11/2015 13:24

I always think people that use the phrase 'knickers in a twist' are so not down with the kids.

iklboo · 14/11/2015 13:38

My twisted knickers were down so I got kids?

pieceofpurplesky · 14/11/2015 13:41

Iklboo Grin

scatterthenuns · 14/11/2015 13:41

Of course it is.

It's only ever said ironically.

JoySzasz · 14/11/2015 13:44

NorbertDentressangle · 14/11/2015 13:46

Yes it's cringeworthy
Yes it's embarrassing
and.....
Yes that's why if you have teenagers you have to say it in front of them as often as you can.

redexpat · 14/11/2015 13:48

[] hope this works.

sleepwhenidie · 14/11/2015 13:49

pandarific · 14/11/2015 14:35

am I the only one who detected sock-puppeting on the other thread?

MadeMan · 14/11/2015 14:43

I'm not at all down with the kids, but I am down with that shit.

elQuintoConyo · 14/11/2015 14:44

My sock puppets are down with the kids.

Or something.

A friend and I like 'talking street' over whatsapp. I'm sure you'd positively vomit over that, OP!

JoySzasz · 14/11/2015 14:44

No pan you are not. Wink

NoelHeadbands · 14/11/2015 14:44

Enjolrass · 14/11/2015 14:50

No pan you weren't, it's such an odd thread.

I love talking street when I text dd....mainly because she hates it Grin

crumpet · 14/11/2015 15:03

Grin Fascinating Aida was my first thought when I read the op. Although I suspect the op might not appreciate it...

Clare1971 · 14/11/2015 15:42

Anyway if you look at the title of the thread it's not 'down with the kids' that the OP objects to it's 'down the with kids'. I'm with the OP, 'down the with kids' gets right on my tits. Or it least it would if I'd ever heard it before.

feckitall · 14/11/2015 15:48

crumpet My first thought too...Grin

crumpet · 14/11/2015 15:53

Ah. Yes. "Down the with kids" would indeed be embarrassing - OP is spot on.

NoelHeadbands · 14/11/2015 15:54

What kind of IDIOT says 'down the with kids'?!

PicaK · 14/11/2015 15:56

Yes "down with the kids" is only ever used to be ironic. (And was used that way on the snapchat thread). But "down the with kids" would be mortifyingly crass.
