It's my birthday, time yet again to round up all my fellow Scorpios so we can mill about and generally point out why we are better than the rest of you.

My rising sign is Libra.

All my other planets are in Scorpio too, bar the ones that can't possibly be (like the outer ones where they remain in a sign for 100s of years)

My dd was born two weeks ago today on the 29th, she was nine days late and i was over joyed she made it well into Scorpio territory!

Her original due date was the 19th- making her a Libra which I was hoping to avoid as mil is a Libra and we really don't get on, she's the opposite of me, I'm an Aries!

It's cool isn't it?! I really think there's some truth in it... I know the cynics are all like "oh yeah, every person on the planet is one of twelve personalities, reeeally likely..." But with the addition of a rising sign and then accounting for the variable of nurture, why not? Personalities are kind of like our spirits aren't they and spirits can't exactly be defined or explained very well by an exact science.... We're all affected by the energy of the universe, man....

Of course we are the best. I am a Scorpio and so is DD - we totally rock.

My dh is Aries worra and our "best friend" couple (so to speak, we're not in school obviously) are a Scorpio/Aries combination. It's an interesting one, to be sure.

I'm mostly Scorpio, but my moon is in Taurus and Leo rising.

And whoever said Scorpio are Gryffindor, just no. Those little goody-goody show-offs are obviously Leo; Hufflepuff is obviously Taurus, which suggests that JKR was using the classic 'fixed sign' symbolism.

Ravenclaw are obviously a water sign, which would make them Aquarius (although IMO they seem more Libra) which means that Scorpio is Slytherin.

(Please note, I don't really believe in all this, but I used to be really into it so know quite a lot about it. However, I do think the signs, elements and modes are an interesting way of looking at personality types).
