It makes ES Magazine look like literature!

Yes, I have never seen Davina's DC or Holly willoughby's or Fearne Cotton's.

But then there's people like Tom and Giovanna Fletcher who really I should not like at all for splashing everything everywhere but I quite like them. Blush

QueenPotato · 28/10/2015 12:32

*He's 16. So he's suddenly legal. Which means there are options that three months ago there would not have been. So that's diverting. Hot. Ready. Legal.

This IS disgusting. The fact that it happens to girls too shouldn't mean we cant express our revulsion here and now. This sort of shit should be called out every time.*

EXACTLY. It's not OK – the fact that some adult men see girls that way too, and that them turning 16 gets covered in the press too, does not make this OK.

Also, while I agree it happens to girls, I doubt something this extreme and direct would get printed in Tatler, the DM etc. "All grown up" applied to 16yo girls is smirking, sexualised code for "Oh loooooook, this girl has grown some tits and hips and now we can see her as a sex object!" And that's bad.

But "Hot. Ready. Legal." Shock Shock Shock is even worse. It's just blatant, aggressive objectification that enforces on BB the position of being "Ready" for whoever wishes to lech over him, without him having a say. Awful and unforgiveable.

Do any of you use twitter? - maybe you could comment on Rivkins twitter feed.

Roussette · 28/10/2015 12:39

I wonder if BB chose to allow this article, or whether D&V just realised what that stands for Grin encouraged it. I honestly thought that both of them had more sense, I thought we weren't going to have their kids shoved in our faces, so disappointing and TBH it's coloured my view of them big time. I suppose it's all about Brand Beckham and dosh, what a big shame. They must be so driven by money and are now pulling their kids into the whole machine, modelling, articles about them etc etc

Whereas I admire those that let their kids be kids and protected from the press.

SettlinginNicely · 28/10/2015 12:50

How can it be money driven? They have so much already compared to what this can bring in additionally. It has to be more about attention.

Screaminlikeabanshee2 · 28/10/2015 12:59

What does this boy do now? I read on here somewhere that he's very academic, is he still in school?

Cerseirys · 28/10/2015 13:56

D&V Grin

There's already an opposing article here:

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 28/10/2015 14:45

Good, I liked Rebecca Reid's response.

MrsJayy · 28/10/2015 15:52

Well Rebecca said a lot of what we said in her article Hmm but thats fine im glad she wrote it get it out there that a young lad is not there to be leered at.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 28/10/2015 16:35

I saw something similar in ES Magazine and I very nearly complained to the Ed- as this was a few months back when he was still 15

disgusting - YUK

Cerseirys · 28/10/2015 16:54

ES Magazine inevitably features some talentless tyke on the cover, and then in the fawning article accompanying it, surprise surprise - Mama and Papa are famous!

Rebecca2014 · 28/10/2015 17:21

Am I wrong to feel bit bad for the writer? I am sure she didn't mean to come across as a pervert and I am sure she will be embarrassed.

regenerationfez · 28/10/2015 17:42

Yes but that is what editors are for, surely? To be a second opinion and point out inappropriate content?

tictactoad · 28/10/2015 17:47

Glad I'm not the only one who's bemused by the hows and whys of the no doubt pleasant but really rather ordinary Beckham minor suddenly becoming media crack.

Awful way to write about a child though. Maybe his parents will finally have a rethink about touting their family to the publicity machine.

MrsJayy · 28/10/2015 17:50

No i dont feel sorry for her at all she probably thought she was sharp witty and current she just came across as a letch.

timelytess · 28/10/2015 17:52

Oh, that's a nasty article. Who even thinks like that?

PrimalLass · 28/10/2015 17:56

She is Executive Editor of Tatler.

PrimalLass · 28/10/2015 17:58

Or was at one point, not sure about now.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 28/10/2015 17:58

My niece aged 14 loves BB, Since Harry styles broke her heart by leaving 1D. I could imagine this story being ok in a school type newspaper written by pupils for pupils. This is however creepy.

regenerationfez · 28/10/2015 18:01

Christ on a bike! That explains the complete lack of checking then! Unless, as some have said, it was endorsed by the Beckhams in their insatiable quest for publicity and Tatler were so starstruck they failed to point out that sexualising a child is a tad inappropriate.

Cocolepew · 28/10/2015 18:11

What a load of crap? Did someone actually get paid for that?
Brooklyn must practice his Beiber Pained Lookâ„¢ in the mirror every night.

Hanwillls · 28/10/2015 18:53

Poor posh, I'd hate for my son to be subjected to this.

I think he is above average looking to be honest, a 6 or 7 out of 10.
