AIBU to suspect that there are a lot of Daily Mail journalists starting threads on here?

Have noticed a lot of goady threads starting lately - just the sort of thing to get the beloved DM readers hot under the collar. Plus, was flicking through the DM's You mag earlier (it was the only thing to read in the coffee shop!) and saw a couple of articles that referenced MN.

I know I'm paranoid, but just seems a bit strange.

Although I'm convinced the enthusiastic vaping ones are full of tobacco industry shills, not that I've ever bothered to open one. It's just the faux chummy 'we're so cool' titles that give it away.

YANBU. Some of the threads are sooooo goady. I just roll my eyes and move on.

Yy, sugar21, the Politics board is just unusable now thanks to that poster. I guess they've got what they want because no one bothers posting there any more.

Judging by the state of AIBU today, it won't be long before that goes the same way.

The tobacco industry does a lot of astroturfing and hiding behind other apparently benign organisations to help whatever agenda they are pushing. Having seen some of their dodgy campaigns I would not be at all surprised if their public affairs people weren't on here from time to time.
