To take his new toothbrush to work with a little ribbon round it

DP's old toothbrush was losing its bristles so he asked if I could get a new one.

He then text me today 'remember my toothbrush'

He does work long hours, but he passes several shops on his way. I have now got a pack of toothbrushes from LIDL.

I got another text 'did you get me a toothbrush yet?'

I am tempted to walk to his work (less than a mile away) and present one of the brushes, tied with a little ribbon, to security and say it is an 'urgent delivery' for DP's name, and insist he is called down to collect it.

AIBU? And how much will I regret this.

GrinThis is the sort of thing I'd do, but only because it wouldn't get him any grief at work.

He really wants that toothbrush doesn't he?

Yes OP, how dare you start a light hearted thread on this. And why don't you have adequate toothbrush supplies at home, you slattern?

I love AIBU.

murphys · 15/10/2015 15:11

MajesticWhine · 15/10/2015 15:14

What's wrong with helping each other out without the Hmm look?

diddl · 15/10/2015 15:19

Ooh, he's nagging isn't he?

Can't you be trusted to do something once you've been asked, OP?

squoosh · 15/10/2015 15:23

March into his workplace holding one of these and a trail of cheerleaders behind you.

Travelling I have a message here from your husband.
Please can you buy him a toothbrush.
Ta

YakTriangle · 15/10/2015 15:35

I'd buy him one of those electric toothbrushes in the shape of a mermaid designed for small children, put it in a lovely gift box, and present it to him with a fanfare queued up ready on my phone.

scribblegirl · 15/10/2015 15:45

Please do this Grin

Floggingmolly · 15/10/2015 16:39

Nothing wrong with it at all, whathaveilost. That's why I didn't get all the pa shit of personally delivering it (gift wrapped) to his workplace having cleaned the toilet with it first...
It's a fucking toothbrush.

WaggleBee · 15/10/2015 16:50

Do people have stocks of spare toothbrushes at home then?? Am I letting the side down by buying them when needed and not having basket full for guests on the side?

squoosh · 15/10/2015 16:52

My mother has about ten spares at any given time.

Your DH should leave you OP and hook up with my dear old mum.
