FFS, they are Lilliputian.

1.5 inches wide. I ask you.

I like the lemon ones if anyone is giving them away
Ds keeps eyeing up the giant jammie dodgers, but I'm going to assume bigger isn't always better ;)

PotOfYoghurt · 10/10/2015 16:09

I once enjoyed a Very Large custard cream with a book.

PotOfYoghurt · 10/10/2015 16:10

I didn't eat the book, mind.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 10/10/2015 16:21

Why can't anyone make pink ones without beetles? Surely there must be another non beetley food colouring

Murfles · 10/10/2015 16:24

Where do you get those enormous Jaffa Cakes? I need them in my life.

Red food dye is extracted from cochineal beetles and so non-veggie. I was going to check as I think there is a veggie alternative and M&S are quite good on this (raspberry royale is gelatine free). The list on the M&S website is vvvv long. I didn't find fondants before I got bored but it did include red velvet cupcakes and weirdly bunnies and chicks.

You need to check your cake pack for the "V" symbol now pleeease.

ValancyJane · 10/10/2015 17:40

Oh god, I'm pregnant and now the baby totally wants French Fancies. Damnit!

Katedotness1963 · 10/10/2015 18:29

Oh! You cruel, cruel people. There's nowhere here I can get such delights. Giant Jaffa Cake?!?! Envy

TheNoodlesIncident · 10/10/2015 19:09

In Greece you can get "jaffa" cakes with a berry flavoured jelly bit.

They are divine. I tried to bring some back but they were overcome by the warmth and melted together, so I had to eat them all four at a time

tibbawyrots · 10/10/2015 19:19

I need French or fondant fancies now. Right now. So what I've got stuffed chicken for dinner, I need cake.

WimpyArseWanks · 10/10/2015 19:22

I want some Fondant Fancies now or any cake.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 10/10/2015 19:26

Hmm, I bet a homemade giant Jaffa cake cake wouldn't be too difficult.

Incidentally Tesco value Jaffa cakes are the best ever.

VulcanWoman · 10/10/2015 19:31

Yeah, you could use orange marmalade for the filling.

liquidrevolution · 11/10/2015 09:36

The M&S fondant fancies used to be bigger than mr Kiplings and really yummy. Now smaller and just a bit sickly.

Can still polish a box off in one sitting though. Grin

CombineBananaFister · 11/10/2015 09:41

Get yourself to Bettys in York as a treat - they do their own fondant fancy and it is the size of two normal ones plonked on top of each other and obviously deeelicious. Think it's £1.60 for one though, eek!

BSites · 11/10/2015 11:05

I packet of Jaffa cakes is just the right size for dipping in a mug of tea.

I usually get a headache afterwards though.

BSites · 11/10/2015 11:06

P.S. I don't dip the packet in one go. Although.......
